I guess my reply would be 'maybe' -- I'm able to play the game 'ok' for myself, with absolutely everything turned down to minimum (.. with GeForce Experience saying "Your system doesn't meet the minimum requirement for optimal setting in this game. The optimal settings may deliver unplayable framerates")

10 year old i7
8GB RAM
GTX 970
running game off hard disk (not SSD)
Under Windows 7

So the question may be what quality of game are you able to accept. Often walk pass people, only for their face to actually be rendered clearly as they walk past. People popping into view quite close.

think I will wait then. not one to care about graphics fidelity much but I think
waiting for some optimization if it comes might be the way to go. thanks.
my spec:
8600k
16bg
1070ti
nvme ssd
1440p

i get only 35-45 fps under medium/ high setting.

with your spec, you'd be getting 20ish fps which is unplayable for me. wait for more patches.
I think you could run it on your system but there would be some areas with FPS issues.
Nexus has a few mods that can cut down things outside the baked in parameters. Mods that take out the distant cars etc.

You will experience some delays, as your hard drive is probably not even 10K rpm (or better). Slower hard drive, less hardware/bandwidth/power - it will all lead to data processing delays. But, i think it would be playable. To me, the game is not worth playing if you can't take advantage of the world environment. The visuals. They got that right IMO. If you elect to shut that down, your total game enjoyment will be much less.

i have three SSD's totaling 3 terabytes gave up spinners years ago.
think i will wait though.
yes a 970 will run it, in the state CP77 is currently
you have to deal with
30FPS (VSync on)
Low to Mid settings for Graphic

I have a 980 and i am bound to the same settings
despite the fact that a 980 4GB beats the recommended 1060 6 GB

*shrugs*

Here's a good article:
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/cyberpunk-2077-pc-benchmarks-settings-performance-analysis

Relevant graphs:

720p, low settings: yes, it can run it.
https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/3TShRUPjJEVwUKVkYvGuC.png

1080p, medium settings: Nah. At best it's just barely painless.
https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/4ik2ALqmP8aNnegRMTtWn.png

So: yes, it may run it but at best I would estimate you can run 1080p with low settings and keep the fps just over 30.

Pretty much this
FX 8350
980ti
16GB 1866mhz
Samsung QVO 870
2560x1080
all settings are minimum
FPS 15- 50
When there are many effects, FPS drops, it is difficult to hit a moving enemy.

yes... set framerate as FIXED at 30fps, aniso 4x, shadows low, leave the rest as the game set, resolution 1920x1080 full hd

^^^ EXACTLY THIS, and the game will work fine.

My GTX 1060 +16 GB RAM (I only have 1 ram stick/single channel) and my 6th gen i7 + SSD make the game playable. It's not cranked up to the max and not always as fluid but I had an enjoyable experience not considering the state of the game.
I'm running the game on a 980 and if not for my CPU bottlenecking me pretty hard, I'm fairly certain the game would run pretty well on medium. Even then, unless you're one of those people that absolutely has to have 60 FPS for a game to be "playable", you should be fine at least on lowest.. and trust me, the game is still pretty beautiful on lowest.
I have a (secondary) system that's pretty similar to yours, but with a 980 and an i5 4590S (bit slower than yours).
I can get a moderate stable 30fps at low-medium settings on 1080p. In most cases the CPU is the limiting factor here, as long as you don't cranck up the graphics to much.
You can forget about 60fps though. In my opinion the game isn't fun @30fps. Way too janky for me.
