Since Cyberpunk 2077 is a Cdprojekt game, it is really surprising that the game isn't fully compatible with GOG galaxy, which is also another CDprojekt product. What is the reason behind this ?

Good question, it used to be compatible...
Yesterday (Dec 16) the Overlay game feature disappeared from the store for Cyberpunk 2077, after the GOG Galaxy update.

2.0.34.1 has fixed it again. It seems that the fixes are not included in the "release" client yet and they're only in the beta versions, weird.

Can confirm. 2.0.34 hit my client this morning and it works again

you need 2.0.36.2 beta for it to work. can confirm it works 100%.

I'm using 2.0.36 (Version 23 december) and the overlay is working like a charme.
