I thought I read an article awhile back that made it seem like a bigger deal than it actually turned out to be. I picked the nomad start thinking I would have to /earn/ my way into Night City. I thought I would be doing missions and taking down a corrupt Sheriff. I wanted to work up towards being a badass. I thought that was the intention of the nomad start and I was excited to get into it.

I start the game and within 10 minutes I am in Night City. What??

Am I mistaken here, or does anyone else think they cut the nomad story out?

Because the game is centered around night city. So it would make no sense for nomads to play as nomads for more than 10 minutes... Choosing a certain path in the beginning, is just supposed to give you unique dialogue options.
