I haven't seen anyone else post this particular issue so I figured I'd throw it out there as I would like to progress the main storyline. As it is, it is GAMEBREAKING.

After Johnny tries to tear out the chip and V falls unconscious; when I come to and my character pulls themselves up on the wall/window it crashes once the window is halfway visible, sometimes I even make it to the full window and Johnny saying "I'm gonna take over" and back to desktop I find myself.

Edit: my specs
i5-4690k
Geforce GTX 980
32 gb of RAM
SSD
Windows 7

TL:DR Johnny is so good at taking over he crashes me to desktop and does indeed take over. V is dead.

Forgot to mention that I did update to the latest graphic drivers (460.79)
Update: I have succeeded in getting past the 'crash point' by setting these 2 options:
Vsync: 30
Max Framerate: 30
