so i've been stuck on this for ages and eventually had to quit the game as there seems to be no way around this.

looking online it appears my issue may be due to the robot guy is supposed to attack however he seems to run towards and skit back UNLESS i attack him, however this appears to prevent the dodge mechanic from counting. i noticed this during the previous block section as well. does anyone have any ideas please?

i've tried dodging the shove, i've tried dodging the attack after the shove, dodging both etc and nothing is counting after over an hour of trying. i've even tried just walking backwards.

I had a lot of trouble with that tutorial as well, and managed to finish it by pure luck.

As I remember it, the combat tutorial is not mandatory. If you have a save before starting the tutorial, you can just select the option to skip it in dialog.

i finally figured out a 'workaround' - you have to switch the difficulty to EASY, this will enable the robot dude to attack you normally and you can then dodge etc as indicated. Upon completion just switch the game back to your preferred difficulty - it's really rather crazy when you think about it.
