I am running patch 2.0 on Manjaro linux. The game is installed via Heroic and set to use Wine-GE latest and I have no issues after several hours of play.

When I attempt to install setup_cyberpunk_2077_redmod_build_4902785change_6408866_1_(64bit)_(67690).exe either through Heroic with the Run EXE on prefix option or manually by setting WINE_PREFIX and running the specific wine version, the installer gives the error "The base game was not detected. Please install the GOG version.

Any ideas on what to try?

Game and Gog -> same wineprefix

so you need to install the tool at the same prefix.

But if I may!
Use a KVM and virtualize a windows instalation then install the tool there. Will be less painfull.
