Hi all,

So, GOG has downloaded that big 1.5 update the other day.

Today I was playing the game, and when I quit it started downloading some update.

Anyone knows what it is about?

Yeh caught me by surprise too, I wonder what it could be.62gb seems a bit too much for a 1.5 patch.

on steam version there is 10gb update to fix audio issue (crashing or unable to launch with certain audio driver like nahimic). I don't know why GoG version redownloading the whole game again
Here in Spain, the GOG versión update is 67GB.

Yap, for german users too.
And no word about it from CDPR.

pretty outrageous
This is pretty standard, it seems. Whenever the Witcher had an update it was like re-installing the whole game. I thought this was a more sound way of fixing a game. Instead of just patching it, they would re-work the whole game around the changes so it would all work well together. I don't really know what they are doing though, this was just a happy thought.

Having to redownload the whole game for what i guess are just some hotfixes, is ridiculous and unacceptable.

My reaction when I saw the 67 GB download

EDIT: uninstalling the game. Will come back later when it is not downloading 40-60GB every few weeks,

They released a hotfix for PS4 because they completely corrupted the game for them in 1.5 and it couldn't launch that's it... Some how it affected us on PC and this hotfix they refuse to talk about is now apart of our lives. Steam also got a fix that was only a few GB not many changed files at all.

Once again we are treated like second hand citizens. GOG is CDP so why are they doing this to us?

Because GOG is garbage!

Every time a game is patched I have to input my password for EVERY DLC the game has.
For some games I have to type that password 8+ times. TO UPDATE A GAME!!!

Steam doesn't ask once! Just updates the game.

Then we have "hotfixes" like this one where a "HOTFIX" requires you to download the ENTIRE game!
Not on Steam though!!!

Right now GOG does EVERYTHING WRONG and is ABSOLUTELY INFERIOR to Steam!!!!
Until they fix this piece of **** they call GOG am only buying on Steam from now on!

BTW I contacted support about the password thing. They don't see any problems with that!

I am staying on Patch 1.5 and ignore the hotfix!
