I am using the missing kid's laptop, and I can't get out. I've read every message, looked at every file, and gone to the web. All the dialog has happened. But when I press C to exit, it just puts me in this weird close-up view where I can't do anything but open the laptop again. I seem to have no way to step away from the laptop.

Any ideas. This is after recently starting to play the game again after taking many months off.
