I have problems with the surround sound. I'm not sure if it's because of patch 1.5, but the voices (whether dialog or in the environment as you walk by) are only output from the front speakers. The ambient sounds (e.g. crowds) however are played on the rear speakers. Engine noises (passing cars), however, are also only output from the front speakers.

This is really weird, robs immersion and I think it was working properly before the patch.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Same for me, I've got a MSI Z390M Motherboard with its Intel Cannon Lake-H/S - cAVS
onboard chip and analog speakers. Ambience seems to work, everything more "directed" does not. Don't know if this is a degradation, didn't start playing before 1.5, just wanted to second the notion that this might be a bug.

Update: Just got a hotfix installed, seems to fix the problem.

After some more playing, I can confirm your experience. The hotfix didn't fix anything, I got the same "environment is surround, characters and actually interesting directional sounds like gunshots and character speech are not" behaviour as you do. I had hoped that the hotfix of some days ago fixed some things, but seemingly those were OTHER sound problems.
