Dear developers,

Yes, this game has some bugs / glitches but man this is one ambitious and extremely immersive game / world. The gaming community can be quite toxic and while there exists some reasonable critisism (e.g. for the last gen cosole versions) the amount of hate you receive is not justified at all.

Don't beat yourself up due to some extreme comments, I enjoy this game very much and I am sure it will only get better with the upcoming patches. People who work a lot make also make lots of mistakes, especially while crunching. I am actually surprised how little glitches I experienced during the first 15 hours of the game given the huge amount of content you guys created.

So let me say: Thank you for this gem of a game, enjoy the holidays and some well deserved rest.

The sad thing is, I truly believe they will iron out the performance issues and add in all the things people are complaining about, but by then people will probably have moved on.

The quality of the console releases are inexcusable. They should have never released the game in that state. I have a higher end machine and can enjoy the game to the fullest, but my friends and coworkers who were excited for the game on their ps4. I feel really bad for them. So to every person on the dev team isn't at fault for the decision to release the game in that state, your hard work shows and I believe in you. I love this game.

For the person or people who made the call to hide the state of the game on last gen machines, you deserve all the blowback. Not going to lie. You sold a lot of good unsuspecting people in this community a complete lie that will never match up to what was promised and shown before release. It's honestly disgusting and CDPR will have a very tough time garnering that good will back when it comes to their next game. Really feels like they shot themselves in the foot for short term gains. I'm not preordering or buying the next game you guys release and I recommend everyone else do the same.

This was your big chance, you will never have this much excitement surrouding another one of your games again. Hope it was worth it.

delpierro0815: Dear developers,...
I finally play this weekend, since 10 am morning saturday, i have 8 and some hours, and the only thing i have to say is wow, is the game i was waiting for, essential cyberpunk feel, really massive city that actually feels alive.

And for troubles, bugs i have seen 2 or 3, but with a game of this scale is nearly imposible not to have them.

For my part i hope the devs read this, thanks for this game, the wait was worth it. :)

Have a nice holidays

People still play witcher 3 tho, even after its bad release. Once DLCs and expansions come out, people will return to it again.
And besides, there is nothing like this on market anyway. So, they can only improve it.

That's a dangerous thing to do - at least right now -, this commenting positively on Cyberpunk 2077. You just might have drawn the ire of a lot of people.

But seriously - believe it or not, I'm in the same boat.
Apart from a few bugs/glitches here and there (about the same amount when Witcher 3 launched back then), I'm enjoying the hell out of Cyberpunk 2077.
Again, by no means the near-perfect open-world immersive action-RPG sim it was made out to be and it still has a long way to go in terms of further optimization, polishing and improving on/expanding its features/mechanics and customizability on PC but even in its current, objectively flawed state it's still an extraordinary experience at least I'm having a grand old time with.
+1

Couldn't agree more, OP!

I'm 30+ hours in and completely in love with this game!! <3

Thank you, Devs!
Sorry but the amount of bugs and glitches is the least of this games problems as those can easily be fixed.

Poor AI
No car AI
Cops spawning on top of you ( Nice immersion!)
Yes, yes and yes dialogue options that makes Fallout 4 look like a masterpiece.
Not a single side activity to be seen

This game is through and through broken and the only REALLY good part of it is the visuals
It's a good action-adventure game with a highly detailed city and a good story, with some character customization. One can clearly see they use much time on this, and they should get credit for it. And the game actually runs really well and more stable than I thought! It's not a few times I've gotten lost trying to see all of the city, and after almost 15 hours there are just 4-5 times I've encountered glitches. I'm also really enjoying the atmosphere in the game, f.ex. driving through Night City at night, and ads turn on when you get near them so that exactly what I would expect in a world like this (and something that will come soon in our world too)

I can't turn dlss and RT on yet until I upgrade but I have that to look forward to. Did the same when FarCry and Crysis came and it gave me an opportunity to play the game(s) again with better graphics.

The more I venture into the game the more I'm loving the gameplay that is there and unlike Outer Worlds I'm actually enjoying the combat and characters here (all the cred to the devs here), but the game do need more polish and better AI in the open world part.

The main story*, characters, combat and the city is where the game really shines, however: I am a little disappointed that they removed so much, especially surrounding RPG and story they did promise, and they should have kept "it's finished when it's finished" and burned the exec director / shareholder that pressured to release the game too soon. The game was to have much more in terms of choices/options. You can clearly see the rushed story in the beginning and then they all have exactly the same main arc. There's also some other minor stuff, but I can ignore those.

*Although, we don't exactly know who V is, or how V met Jackie, and small stuff like that. I mean, what there is is really enjoyable and we do get some dialogue options differently depending on what we chose, but, hopefully more gets added. And I wish there were trance music in the game, can't say any of the radio stations have much appeal.

tl;dr: I'm really enjoying this game and I think that was the main thing CDPR went for!

---------------
Now, I've been testing out two kinds of hacks (the EXE and the csv file) to see If I can squeeze a little more fps out of the hardware, which do seem to work. Seem I also got more traffic but I need to revert to the original to see it better.

Let's spread some love. I'm loving the game so far even for it's obvious flaws (I'm looking at you NPC AI and NCPD) and i'm sure CDPR will do their best to make it for us.
I've been blessed, great performance and few bugs.

I can't get enough of the game - the more I play the more I want to play and experience the world.

It's amazing.

I feel for the peeps having issues, it's a downright shame, sucks for them.

But, it will get only better. This is CDProjekt here.

You look at other botched launches, Diablo 3, No Mans Sky, even the Witcher 3.....those launches haven't hurt those games at all.

Cyberpunk 2077 is going to have a long tail, it's going to get richer, better and all those people with issues now are going to get to play it through for the first time in an even better state and with more than those of us not having issues. It's a small consolation - but it is a consolation none the less.
Couldn’t agree more with OP.

I am admittedly a cyberpunk super fan - of the genre not the franchise. Did this game change the way we all play games? No, and I don’t think that was ever the point. The users and critics, ESPECIALLY the critics, shouldn’t have expected that. But in terms of showing the genre some love with a game with amazing writing, gorgeous visuals, and tight and fun gameplay? This game completely delivered on its promise in my opinion.

Give it a month or so and these bugs will be ironed out. Give it a year and we’ll be looking at some stellar DLC missions IMO.

PS4 and XBone players? Well I do feel bad for them...
Hmmmm.

No.

When I spend my weekend being infuriated with the game for constnatly crashing, I have no love to spare. Sorry, but no. I enjoyed what I played of it, but it didn't let me play much of it. Yeah-yeah, I'm sure a lot of these devs poured their hearts and souls in it and worked really hard and knew it wasn't nearly ready for prime time, but let's not get to the SPREAD LOVE AND APPRECIATION bull before they actually bother to fix it.

I've been a CD Projekt fan for quite a while. Since Witcher 1, actually. And granted, that game was messy (five minute loading screens come to mind), but at least it worked most of the time. It didn't make me quit because of how buggy it was, that's for sure. And if you've seen the horrible, HORRIBLE ways I had to turn down everything in both W2 and W3 just to get them to run and I still beat them and loved them to death. And you know what, I love GOG. Generally. A good store. Or well, I used to love it.

This is the first time I quit a game over glitches. Over constant crashes, over sudden slowdowns, over some of the options making the game display a blank black screen. The GOG Galaxy overlay being on crashes the game outright, but that's when GOG Galaxy works at all, which is not often. And the tech support has the gall to recommend me check out the forums. I'm really happy for all of you there who are blessed with relatively stable experiences, but I'm not and I'm not going to pretend that I am and that everything is fine and that we have to give them all hugs because the internets are so unkind and uncaring.

But the internets are not unkind and uncaring. The internet is actually way, way kinder to CDPR than it would ever be to any other developer that would deliver such a disaster after years of promises and delays. Way kinder than this company deserves.

Next time you see a glitch or the game slows down to a crawl or it crashes, just remember that this is because CDPR values its investors over its customers. They don't give a damn about you. They are the same as EAs and Ubisofts of the world and they only serve their investors and stockholders and your opinion matters less to them than a rotten year old cheese. You're not the customers to them, the investors are.

So yeah, to the devs - I'm really sorry you work for such a bad and irresponsible company.
Love to all!

I hope the Devs aren't paid in shares of the company stock.
I don't have much time to play games anymore between work, school, and a baby on the way. But I've been waiting for Cyberpunk for awhile, and man do I love it. The city has such a neat feel to it, the combat is awesome, and the story is amazing. I could get lost in this game for hours. Yeah there's some bugs that will be worked out, but overall it's just been a great experience so far and I'm only in the beginning. Thanks to the devs for all the hours you are putting in and all the time you are probably spending away from your families especially during the holidays. Greatly appreciated.
