So anyone want to fill me in a some end game stuff? I've put in a bunch of time in the game and not sure I want to go back and make different choices so I figured I'd ask here and then make the call on trying out a few different ones!

I went with the Aldacados guns blazing. I find it funny that by the entire game, I'm trying to KEEP this thing from taking over my body... and what do I end up doing? Giving Johnny another shot at life ;)

I chose to slot Alt - are there endings (or even in the Aldacados path) that DON'T involve ALT entering Mikoshi with you? Or is she always part of the end?

Also - how big of a difference is doing the Johnny / Rogue path? Someone want to give me a brief rundown? I almost hate to hear it just because the choice presented in my run was such a surprise (like I said, try the whole game NOT to get erased and what ends up happening? ;) I choose it!) but I'm curious the gist.

Also I thought someone said there was a "secret" ending - but you have to stand around and do nothing for like 5 minutes? Truth to that?

Anyway, thanks in advance for the answer and just curious how others playthroughs ended up.
You can probably find all the endings on youtube. I took the same path as you, Aldecaldo's, guns blazing but I can't be bothered going back to see what choices affect what.

SPOILERS obviously, don't really read this if you don't want to know the Rogue ending

You take the pills and let Johnny take over and he, Rogue and Weyland fly to the tower in a helicopter, you're also equipped with antigravity boots or something, for high altitude jumps. Alt destroys some defense sattelite in the meantime, but the helicopter gets shot down and you land in a jungle greenhouse (you can get a unique spade melee weapon you get to keep as a reward after you finish the game). After a bit Alt takes over the security system and makes sure nobody bothers you until the final room where you get jumped by Adam Smasher who kills Rogue. Then you plug into the Mikoshi and the dialogues are different because Johnny was in charge (it's not V talking to Johnny, but Johnny talking to V). Then you choose whether Johnny stays in the body or steps past the blackwall with Alt, V tries to stop him if you start walking down the bridge to Alt. From then it's either Johnny ending or V having 6 months to live being the big shot of Afterlife and going to space for the biggest heist ever.

Secret ending needs specific dialogue choices when you talk to Johnny at the site where they buried him (also no antagonizing or interrupting prior to that because you need to go through the entire Tapeworm quest, also possibly you need to do Panam's quests and Rogue's quests to open their ending options, but I'm not sure). Then on the roof you wait 5 minutes until Johnny presents you with a new option. Without the particular dialogue options you can wait for however long you want but Johnny doesn't speak up with his idea.

Nice thank you for this! I *might* do a quick redo just to see what that V ending looks like.

I *think* I'm completed Tapeworm (though not sure the "right" way) and I'm pretty sure I did the whole Rogue questline - Panam I know I completed. Might try that secret ending - I'm guessing "On the Roof" is where Misty takes you to make your call?

So it sounds like whether or not you "slot" Alt, she's always involved and always presents the choice to either be V or Johnny ya?

I might give this a shot - I'm sort of in the same boat you are - I spent a bit of time in the game and did enjoy it but I think I'm about ready to move on to something new...

yes, on the roof where Misty takes you and you talk to Johnny about what to do next. If nothing happens after the 5 minutes waiting then you didn't pick the right dialogue choices back at the oilfield where they buried Johnny. Also possibly you might need to look at Johnny, the gun, and the pills during the waiting but maybe that's not necessary.

As for Alt, she's not there for the Arasaka ending (I think) which is a whole different thing entirely. But she's there when you go with anyone other than Arasaka because you need her to disconnect V from Johnny.

all of the endings are bad.
None of the decisions you make ever matter except the last 3. Save your game before you walk into the tower.

then, painstakingly, go through the sequence of making each choice. Most of which you can't skip scenes on.

There are some interesting things to see and "do", but it really leaves you empty as the player. I was severely disappointed in all the endings. The one where Johnny takes over is a total WTF ending.

I personally like the Misty ending. I didn't have to waste any more time doing anything.

The guns blazing ending, you did. It, like the first one i described, was a little exciting, but none of them are worth getting to again IMO.

Just look up the endings on Youtube...

Technically there are 5 or 6, depending on how you count, but these are variations on what is roughly three endings.

Nothing you do in the game really affects this. There is basically two paths to chose if you did nothing (go with the corporate or blast stuff) and a third one you get from having finished some side quest lines. If you want to play to get all endings, you will do very similiar things each time.

As some others have said, each ending is a bit of a let down, but the special ending you get for having done some side quests is the least disapointing.

So nothing you do affects the endings, except some endings are locked if you don't do sidequests.

100% correct.
save a game at the tower entry. then, go back and start having fun with MOD's. See how the players make the game shape in a way it should have been from the start

lol :D I'm glad that the oxymoron is 100% correct

Also, great that with mods the outraged players who dreamed up their own game can make their dreams come true and stop being mad that the authors didn't make a game according to specifications of random people's fantasies :D
I also went with the Aldecado ending out of pure chance and after watching the other ones on Youtube I feel like it was the best of the bunch. If there was only one ending in the game I feel like CDPR probably would have chosen this one. It was a "big happy family" thing and all our problems were solved, for now.

I actually enjoyed the game big time as it is. I only went in after the release and the first wave of outrage and had an idea of what I got myself into. Performance is good for me, except for some bugs, although a few nearly got me stuck and I very much understand how people who were hyped got disappointed.

I would also very much described the writing and characters as one of the highlights of the game. I just think the endings are anticlimactic nonetheless.

The entire game is also somewhat spoiled by me having played SOMA, a game which did a much better job at questioning the idea of digital immortality... of which all flaws are ignored in Cyberpunk...
I liked the ending where I got the money back.
Each ending has a title if you didn't know but I have a feeling that the Sun ending, where V becomes a legend of the Afterlife and gets hired to rob a casino in space. I have a feeling this will become a DLC because you know a whole backstory can be made and all the missions V will have to do to lead up to robbing the casino and what happens afterwards.
