I used to have the game pinned at 1.31 so it wouldn't override the .ini with my key bindings each update, but because of IRL commitments I never quite finished a playthrough in 2020. I just decided to update and start fresh for a new playthrough, but I now see the game has been heavily censored with a lot of content cut from missions, world art, romances, etc. It's a pretty jarring transition from 1.31 to 1.61.

The platform I own the game on at the moment doesn't allow a roll back, but can someone who has it on GOG check there is an option to roll back that far? I would totally rebuy it on GOG if it does.

To answer my own question - no. Purchased to check and GOG only allows you to roll back to 1.5.

Fortunately, I found someone who has the original game installer, 1.3 and 1.31 patches (I'm hoping the 1.3 update at 34GB doesn't need any intermediate updates). Just had to be quick about jumping in and cancelling the auto-patch download in GOG Galaxy.

You got any details on that, some links with info? Because this was news to me.

I have completed the game on patch 1.06, 1.31, 1.5 and am currently on my 4th playthrough on 1.6, and I haven't noticed any differences so far.

There is a censor-button in the options though. I don't know what it does, but it might have been enabled on your end.

Turns out this is complicated... And possibly nothing to do with 1.31. I found my old save synced to cloud and did some checking.
The level of censorship varies partly on:

b. What version of the game V was created in and the first save was made.

I'm guessing a lot of the changes were done early oh but just not apparent. My last character was created in 1.02 so I don't really know when it changed.
