Hey Guys,
I just started Cyberpunk again, last time I played was when the Pathtracing Update released and apparently, ReShade is not working anymore with the 2.0 Update. I used ReShade since launch and for every Update afterwards and it always worked before.
It crashes after around 5 seconds after starting the game.
ReShade probably has to do an Update to get it wprking for the Cyberpunk 2077 Update, but if anyone knows a solution, please post it here!
What I tried:
- ReShade Versions 5.9.2 (Crash after 5 sec)
- ReShade Versions 5.0.2 (Crash after 5 sec)
- ReShade Versions 4.9.1 (Instant Crash)
- I've found a crash fix online for some weird map issue in the past, by enabling the Reshade Addons with the depth buffer, it didn't fix anything for me
- I tried disabling/reducing all CP2077 Graphic/Video options, pretty much use the low preset so see, if it changes anything - nope
- I tried using CET, redscript, RED4ext, TweakXL and ArchieveXL, even if they might be outdated currently, just to check if something happens - well I got more FPS but ReShade still crashes :D
- I tried ReShade without any other mods, still crash, even after a clean reinstall of Cyberpunk 2077
- I started the game without using any presets or other enabled shaders, enhancements, etc - nothing changed
Any ideas on how to get it working again?
Or do we just have to wait it out? :(
My PC Specs:
Windows 10
CPU: Intel i7-13700k
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4080
32GB RAM
I'm using an SSD
All Drivers are already updated
[SOLVED]
I tried some more things and omg, I fixed it by simply starting the Cyberpunk2077.exe as administrator, the one in the Cyberpunk2077/bin/x64 folder.
Do not start the Cyberpunk Laucher from GOG, the one that gets placed on your desktop after installing. Even if you start that as administrator, it will still crash, but starting the .exe in the x64 folder directly as administrator works for me at least.
It's btw the same folder, where your reshade files and shaders are installed.
