So regarding the day one patch. Will that patch be out at 7pm est in the usa on Wednesday? Like right at launch? Or come out the following day on thursday? Referring to the 50gb day one patch.

Based on where you live in the USA, depends on when you can download and play the day one patch. So East Coast Is 7 PM, Midwest Is 6 PM, Mountain Time is 5 PM and West Coast Is 4 PM.

Yeah I understand when it releases. I was just looking for confirmation that the day one patch is coming out right at release hour as well?

The PC release is at the same moment worldwide. The hours are just different in different timezones. So yeah, everybody will get the same updated version at the time of release.

But they delayed the game until Dec 10 to release a "Day 1 Patch", because previously it had "Gone Gold". I believe OP is wondering if this build includes "Day 1 Patch"?

It would be very silly to offer preloads only to withold the patch for the last minute and then try to cram down another 70gb download. What is the point of preloading in that case?

i think there was a tweet from a dev/community spokepersons that says the day 1 patch fixes a lot, and did use the words 'for consoles'

whether that means its only focused on improving console performance, or if it was in reference to someone specifically asking about the console version, i dont know.

i suspect a bit of both. console performance improvements, and general fixes etc that will be on all platforms.
