Just downloaded the huge upade 1.2. Now there is a problem: When I'm going to install it, the programm tells me, the upadate is too large for the game-drive. I just uninstalled alot of other stuff and got 326 GB (GigaBytes!!!) left. And this ist still not enough for the update??? Sorry... but can anyone help me with this? Or is this some kind of weird joke by CDPR?????

Please go to GOG settings and check the path for your temporary update folder (for unpacking).
Is it the same drive as your download folder?

GOG settings? Where are those? I don't use Galaxy.

Well, i never used offline istallers myself, but it seems, the files are unpacked to C:\TEMP first by windows environment variables, then copied to the destination, so its a similar problem (of unpacking?)

The Temp-Folder is on my systems-ssd-drive. And there are 136 GB left. The installer tells me, it needs 383401MB. That should be available on both drives...

Edit: Nope... can't get it installed... guess, I will continue playing it without the patch. That's really sad. Looked so forward to this update, but it's just impossible :(

I highly suggest to just move temp to your HDD instead.

Yeah same. What the hell sort of patch is this.

You need enough room for the entire game, the patch archive, the completely decompressed patch, and temp folder to combine everything in a copy spot to then move to the original game folder and once verified it will then delete the copy spot and the decompression archive of the patch.

This is how patches work unfortunately, game has just got bigger and patches got much much bigger.

With extremly large patches you're better off just uninstalling the game and reinstalling it from the brand new archive. Or using galaxy to stream patch it so You only need double the room instead of triple to quadruple.

Well yeah, for large patches for games that use massive compressed container files it's better just to do full reinstall.

And the issue isn't unique to this game - some UE4 games take 45 minutes to apply 5Gb patch when downloading the whole game takes less than 10.

I've never come across this issue with any other game.

I had a low opinion of CDPR before this but right now I'm about ready to blow my stack
Definitely will never buy another game from this company again.
