I noticed recently with patch 1.6 that the armour pieces would randomly reset the attached mod values.
First observation was when I was going into a braindance session on Judy's quest. My armour pieces were of legendary tier and upgraded to max level. All the pieces had legendary armadillo at max value 75. After the braindance, nearly all of the armadillo mods would have random tiers (uncommon, rare, epic etc) and random values.
Second observation was when I was doing the Queen of the Highway gig. Some of the armour pieces would reset back to level 1 values. I reloaded to a save before riding the Basilisk and unequipped the head, face, and outer torso armour pieces. That seemed to avoided the bug from triggering. HOWEVER.
Somehow, somewhere down the line, I had noticed the head armour piece, in this case was the Cushioned Techie Baseball Cap had reset its level back to 1, as in its base armour is 3.7. And I have no idea how it happened. I was not in any gig or did any activities that involved a braindance sequence
