I hope this article is true as it gives me hope that CDPR is on the right path to getting back some of its lost goodwill it had built up over the years... plus the fact that they ditched the multiplayer stand-alone has me ecstatic as that would take away resources for their current and future SP games!
MMOs require a laundry list of logistical elements that would drain a company's focus for SP games, you would have to have an enormous team to split up the SP/MMO duties as you would need extra staff to moderate the servers and players from rampant griefing and hacking attempts from assholes that were banned, and also constantly testing/developing new content!
(Not to mention the threat of microtransactions and other shitty MMO accouterments!)
So unless you're focused totally on MMOs as a company's focus and/or have a legion of staff members/separate divisions your SP games will most definitely have been drained valuable resources and new development time in order to maintain an MMO alongside SP games!
