If the Tomshardware's performance test is anything to go by, this is gonna be one poorly optimized game at launch...
I think I'm just gonna wait until performance issues are addressed in a patch.

Yep, if i can't get stable 60 fps with decent graphical settings on my 2070, i submitted myself to roleplaying playing on ps4. Locking game to 30fps and playing with controller. hopefully 2077 has decent frame limiter that doesn't do horrible things to frame-times...

Doesn't look that bad on the lower end of the spectrum (where the expectations were low anyway) but for people who want to play in 4K RT Ultra, it seems even a 3090 can only do ~ 45 fps.

Also, the game looks CPU intensive but they say this could have been due to Denuvo protection (release version won't have any). And there's going to be a release-day patch, which they estimate might improve performance by 10-15% at most.

There are some screenshots to demonstrate that RT is worth it (if hardware permits) but it's difficult to say what the difference between "Ultra" and "Medium" is otherwise (without it).
For "real" benchmarks it is to early and also the final game client was not available in this test.
Also, currently we do not have final GPU drivers optimized for this game.

Isn't it going to be DRM free? GoG games are as far as I know.

It will, but from what I've read the review copies were protected with Denuvo to prevent a potential leak.

i dont hold out much hope for my 2070super doing rtx minimum even with dlss
sad
This kind of explains why the official system requirements never mentioned the framerates.

On the other hand, it's also possible that even "Medium" in this game is what would be considered "Ultra" a couple of years ago, and it's not that bad: the settings are just future-proof.

I expect nVidia will post a guide to detailed settings shortly, and how they affect performance. This would be more helpful.
I'm not too concerned. I'd be more worried about the overwhelming list of bugs that are hopefully getting addressed in the Day 1 patch than optimization.

For real, it's pretty bad. I'm already prepared to set this one down for 3-6 months while CDPR patches it.

I think the version the reviewers had was from 2-3 weeks ago at most, so I wouldn't expect all the bugs to be addressed before release. Personally it doesn't bother me though, as long as the game doesn't keep crashing to desktop or corrupting the saves, visual glitches are going to be fun in their own weird way.

don't freak out too much. Looks like the 2060 pulled off RTX with DLSS on Ultra at a average of 30FPS, based on the Toms preview. I imagine the 2070 should be able to do significantly better, especially if you tweak a few settings.

i hope so

as long as i can get some rtx at a resolution greater than 1080p i will be happy.
i just feel 1080p on my oled tv looks too chunky so im hoping for 1440p, or even 4k dlss at 1440p internal render.
