frogthroat: During the stream they said they have reworked the perks so much that the old allocated perks are no longer applicable. Some perks have been removed, some have been added, others have been changed so while slightly inconvenient, the fairest way was to reset all, return the perk points and you can allocate them yourself again.
Stream? What stream? :O
Found it quickly on Youtube ("Sign in to confirm your age" - thanks, Google, for being useless, and no, you don't need a picture of my driver's license...), but I didn't know about that one. Am watching it now (from a different site).
The perk point reset was mostly just an annoyance for me personally, as I had recently screwed up some perks (guess what, turned out they didn't work...), and reset all of them to respec.
On the last skill tree I then managed to spec something I didn't need, and dediced to do it all over again. Then again, to test out something (like the need for more quickhack components and the ability to craft legendary Quickhacks when I already had all the legendary ones). And resetting everything one last time to get it just the way I wanted.
It took quite a bit of time, and this was last weekend. And now everything was reset
again.
It's all done now, but I added 20 extra perk points with CyberCat just as a present to myself before doing it. And gave myself 100x the number of crafting components, because Skippy (he does Chemical damage now...?) is no longer auto-scaling and had to be upgraded 50 times (didn't bother with the exact count), which cost a litteral fortune in components.
Another negative surprise was the change in clothing mods, and mods in general. Number of clothing mods are reduced, stats are WAY down (RIP my 100 % Crit Chance and 260 % Crit Damage), and mods are suddenly cloth specific. No more +Crit Chance on the shoes.
And I thought for several minutes all bikes were broken, because the box to get on them is so small now. The addition of having the stash on them is nice, I guess, but it's at the expense of the get-on box. And seriously, it's a bike, it cannot carry 200 stashed weapons. Leave the stash to the cars.
All the bikes also look...fuzzy now, though that could be due to the bike skins I had installed. Still haven't removed any mods. And I hope I won't regret not adding all the unique weapons to my inventory with CyberEngine while I had the chance to get the best version - if all weapons, at least uniques, are no longer RNG (infinite reloads to roll the best one anyone?), it's all good.
