I have issues with how 2.0 was rolled out. On the one hand I think it offers some general improvements, however, I think as a whole the game is considerably less fun than 1.63 but that may be because I am playing on Very Hard. At this point I can only hope the DLC makes all of this worth it.
I do kind of resent the fact that I had a max character with max gear and max skills (and it was no fun at all getting 20 ranks in Breach) then discovering with the update that my legendary components have been deleted out of my inventory and that I would need over 300 to level up all of my cyberware. That, along with the fact that I have some strange encumbrance bug which puts me at 270 pounds naked with an empty inventory meant that when I initially logged in after the update I could barely move and had to crawl everywhere. I nearly uninstalled this game and cancelled my pre order for the DLC at that moment. Instead I sent in a big report and in the last week I have received exactly one message thanking them for letting me know and no offer of assistance. Pretty much exactly what I expected from CDPR at this point though in their defense my tone was kind of shitty and there is still a chance they might really be on top of it and have it fixed in time for Phantom Liberty. . .But introducing your new rollout by nerfing my character, saddling my games with bugs, and leaving me in a position where I need to search for answers all over the web and then grind my way back to where I was is baffling. This is the worst update I have ever experienced in a game.
So what to do about all of this? Well I managed to unlock one skill level perk (Solo level 25) which granted me a further 100 pounds of encumbrance so I could move normally in game after wasting a day looking through forums for anyone else who encountered the same bug and had found a fix. Near as I could tell there are only a handful of people with this problem and starting a new game is the only advice. I learned every clothing store has at least a dozen gold outfits you can buy and break down for components to get your cyberware to 5+ and they restock every 24 hours. Fortunately I had close to a 1 million credits, unfortunately it still took a couple hours before I finally got enough components to level my cyberware. Movement good (if unsatisfactory), cyberware good, that just left skills.
Since launch I have been just grinding away trying to max out my skills. With the Errata sword and a quick hack I found you could level Headhunter, Netrunner, Shinobi, and Engineering all simultaneously. Just pop Contagion, dice up the enemies before the hack can do too much damage to them, and because Errata does fire damage one of them will certainly explode at some point killing everyone making combat pretty quick. Headhunter levels for headshots and out of combat attacks, Shinobi for any dexterity related weapons, Netrunner for the hack, and Engineering levels without you explode an enemy by hitting Contagion with any source of fire damage. Took forever and it was not fun but I managed to max out everything except Solo which is sitting at rank 40.
So rank 60 of Shinobi reads when Sandevistan is active: Get 40% crit chance no stamina cost for any type of movement.
I didn't see the colon so this entire time I was kind of hyped at being able to crouch sprint for more than 3/10ths of a second but because I only have three ranks in dexterity and no skills in it I got nothing at all for maxing this skill out. If only they had used a word like AND linking the two 2 bonuses instead of a colon I might not have wasted so much time. Oh well.
Anyway, this has been my experience for 2.0, putting this out there for anyone else in a similar position with the hopes any of this might be helpful.
