This seems strange to be, given how simple the problem is, but I was hoping I could ask just to verify that I'm not missing anything important:

I've downloaded a purely cosmetic mod pack from NexusMods, which contains a number of .archive files. The mod installation instructions indicate to place these files in the Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\mod\ folder. When I do this, no change is observed in the game whatsoever.

Is there an option I need to enable, or some other type of mod-installation process I need to take before the base Cyberpunk game will allow mod files to be read and used?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You don't say the name of the mod or link to it, but on most mod pages on Nexusmods there is a list of prerequisites / requirements in the main description.

You'll need to download and install ALL of the requirements for your mod first. And make sure you get everything for your version of the game. In most cases, a mod or mod framework will not work with a different version of the game, any one of which may break the mod you want or make the game randomly crash or not even run anymore.

That was it exactly - I wasn't on the latest version, and when trying to run the mod on a previous, older version, it just didn't work. Now it looks like things are functioning! Thank you!
