I see people complaining about the minimap not "zooming out" while driving...
Like bruh...when you drive do you look at your GPS or the road?

But seriously, I recommend turning off the minimap, you will see the world more, you will start remembering places and streets and most importantly....you will look at the screen inteand of the miniscreen in the screen. Specially cool when doing stealthy aproaches, you actually want to mark enemies insteand of looking at their vision cones....

This advise works for many other games too :D
IDK about you but I've been using GPS in my cars for about 20 years with a voice that tells me when a turn is coming up.

You don't think that in 2077 GPS tech would be even better?

If minimap is all the GPS we're going to get in this game the zoom level of the current version sucks but what really sucks is the lack of voice prompts.

The lack of superior or even current standard navigation tech does nothing to sell the idea that you're living in 2077.

I also recommend turning off the mini map. However, a lot of these things should've been handled through vehicle and cyberware customization rather than accessibility settings. It would then had naturally encouraged players to dispose of useless things like the mini map in order to free up slots for more useful software. It should also have had more advanced navigational aid, like augmented reality signage, which would've taken more resources.

They shot themselves in the foot with their implementation. All that work put into the Nigh City layout and set dressing, wasted. The real issue, however, is and has always been the quest design and its exclusive reliance on the objective marker (a.k.a. the Quest Arrow). All the mindless hand holding guarantees no one would ever think of this game as taking place in a real environment. And that would have been even had they managed working pedestrian and driver AI from the start.

That is taking inmersion to the next level xD

While accesibility options should be on the menu, the only ones who care about those will cry for it if they are behind anything else, the extra "mods" for in radar could be cool sure.

Your "hot take" about the quest marker I dont agree at all. The benefit of not using them does not have a good proportion to the work requiered to make it work. Suspension of disbelief is a thing at the end of the day. Getting a building marked by a promt is not gonna ruin anything for most lol

It's not just buildings, but also vehicles, and characters, and item pickups. The game even highlights the specific section of railing upon which you must lean in order to trigger the passage of time. It's beyond ridiculous! Games have managed without this extreme hand holding aforetime. I guess we'll have to disagree, Joca.
I have minimap off since day 1. It is much more fun
The really idiotic part of this is that the game already has 2077 AR GPS.

You only get to use it during the races in the side quest "The Beast in Me".

This should be the standard GPS anytime you are driving.

An option in the settings to turn it off would be nice too.
I'm still a stranger to N.C., and am using the mini map when driving, but not on foot, for the exact reason already mentioned: my eyes were fixed on the mini map!
Have an autohotkey script to toggle the mini map -- takes 4 or 5 seconds to walk through the menus xD
Also, the Hints are off (still on on the big map).
The Minimap should be able to moved to other corners top and bottom and a zoom in and out option, This is so far behind games from 20 years ago.
