I am still very disappointed about the AI in this game it's just flat bad . I quoted a post from another user who I believe did a very good job talking about what's missing. I know many of you are fine with getting a stripped down version of the game I'm not. Do you think they will fix this? Did they strip it all out because they new last gen consoles couldn't run it? These features are the reason I bought. Nowhere did they say it was removed. Video for some of the context. This was the users response to someone else so you can get the idea.

In the same manner they announced you can't upgrade your car or buy houses

They boasted its the most realistic open world in ANY game to date. They boasted incredibly complex AI for NPC's. They went into details about these features in interviews. They never even hinted that the world interaction was extremely simplified or that the AI was removed.

You act like its perfectly fine for a company to make a huge deal and lots of material boasting core features of a product, then ship the product without those features without ever telling the consumers those features aren't in the product anymore.

I think it would be very unlikely for CDPR to remake AI at this point.

In Skyrim there are mods that make NPC AI more immersive, so unless modders on PC master race find out the way there is no hope...

That's just a shame it was one of the big selling points. I'm losing trust in them.
I think anyone expecting them to create a whole new game here is screaming in to the void. It's like Bioshock Infinite. The original gameplay and promises didn't make it into the final product. That happens all the time and seems to be most noticeable with games that have long dev cycles. It sucks but unless you are a zoomer, you should know that's par for the course. The game is good but if you can't enjoy it without the "what could have beens" eating at your mind, you aren't going to enjoy being a gamer.

I'm not excusing them. There is nothing to excuse. It's public knowledge now that the marketing people and top heads were promising more than the team could deliver. This is the reality of a great team doing their best in the face of corporate lies. Get over it.

I have to admit, I bought the game on impulse.... I did no research into it... but it really is amazing the stuff that people have pulled up from the past, what the game could have been like.

The lore, the shear amount of extra dialogue that you can eavesdrop on really draws me in as it is... The main story I'm rather "meh" about, I want to learn more about this city, its people, everything. So yes, I've taken the time to watch commercial after commercial so I can see a new N54 or WNS video. Read every shard I come across, listen to every conversation.

The idea that this could be an even more living city than I see it as (just lore and content wise, not gameplay) really is upsetting that CDPR decided not to go this way.
So I avoided a lot of the videos over the last few years to avoid spoilers - so this is the first time I'm seeing a lot of this - and yeah - that blows.

That's nothing like the game we got - which is extraordinary.

Developers need to stop talking about features until they're right on top of their launch. That is a whole different game.

According to the delusions some people on this forum have, the game will be patched into a bonafide masterpiece, take you out for dinner and buy you presents.

Blind faith is a powerful thing. Maybe powerful enough to get me downvoted 2077 times on this forum for stating obvious facts. CDPR will spend January and February trying to create a stable game. They won't add any features promised and missing from the game until late 2021. And even then, they will give you barbers and other small things. Still got DLC "expansions" to sell, after all.

The game has no substance. It's all looks and not even that when it implodes from its bad code.
It fails as an RPG, an Action-Adventure and whatever else you might rebrand it as.
By the end of the day, it's just a bad videogame. An empty shell like the corporate shills who pretend everything is awesome just so they can get screwed over even harder with the next shoddy release.

Yeah, I won't be getting super excited about one of CDPR's games ever again.

Why did they depart from the original design and aesthetic? Went from underwater to in the sky. That is ridiculous. It would be like setting Doom in the My Pony universe or something ridiculous.

There's a huge patch coming on the 21st. Keep an eye out.

Go back to the witcher 3 first page of reviews. It's Deja Vu" I hope modders and DLC can salvage some of the features.

Got to say I'm a bit disappointed in the AI.

I guess FPS is not really CDPRs strong suit. It really shows.

Especially when you are a sniper and can hit people behind walls and such. The enemies barely move and just sit there to get shot.

Are you sure that's not just the 1.05 patch we got yesterday, Reg? I don't think we'll be getting any other patch now until next year. I'm otherwise hopeful that they will eventually evolve their AI, but I don't see that being realized until 2022. Possibly an enhanced edition re release for the online component debut. The multiplayer stuff will probably become even more irredeemable now, however, since the developers are likely to use it as bargaining to keep investors from jumping ship. I expect lots of micro transactions, loot boxes, and other such surprise thingies.

To me, the city was never designed to have every NPC with a reason to be there, besides spawn points and minor attitudes, that size of crowd is not easy to adjust to go in and out places, with homes and shops of their own. I mean, the marketing of the game was quite compromissed, like to say the world have sixteen times the details to end up with a mediocre reuse of assets.

The world of Cyberpunk is an impressive show for RTX enthusiasts, wich means in most titles that are Raytracing ready, bad framerates, like flood an game with mods and ENB, in most cases to take screenshots.

Let´s hope they refine Cyberpunk till February, and eventually a game of the year edition with all promisses there? because this game is not a GOTY 2021, really sad.

I hope that they do refine it as well.
