Legonian: Dowload got stuck in 92% for 1 hour or so. I tried killing the download then starting again. Same issue. After that tried to end all GOg processes as mentioned here but on restart it picked up from 57% and is not going any faster...This has not happenned with the other patchs (including the 9GB one that came before this one).

WTF?
It also happen to me and said: fuck it!! is more faster to download the fullgame that deal with annoying way they patch it.
I really love this game, but this kind of s**t is getting me more disappointed every day of gog, stuck at 92% again.
It´s taking forever to install the patches even on an M.2, and I can´t find Cyberpunk running in the background on my Task Manager.

It's not stuck at 92%. Like with previous updates, what it does at 92% just takes longer than the other steps of the installation.
I'm on an NVMe SSD, and it was at 92% for like a minute, and then basically instantly went from 94% to 100%

Cyberway: Ive been stuck at 56.

Dann, wish there was sub forum for technical stuff.
Just wait. Whole patching process doesn't show any progress and happens at 56%. But it is very extensive and very very slow on old HDDs.
I just got around it somehow!

I was worried because I only have 15gb free on my main HD and someone was saying you need a good amount of space to fit an update.

Anyways, I went into task manager and killed all the GOG processes, I also have an instance of Cyberpunk running some how? Not sure why that was going but killed it too.

Rebooted GOG and the patch was done, did syncing for a moment then booted 1.0.6 no problems.

Hope it helps!

You made a comment that had me check, and I too had an instance of Cyberpunk running. I killed that in task manager and the update immediately finished. Hit play and it's working.

Great catch!
I opened task manager and "End task"ed GOG Galaxy and any relevant processes which lingered; I also noticed the game was still open so I "End task"ed that as well. Restarted GOG and the update resumed applying the patch.

Snakeox: Title, update (the 9.9go one) is fully downloaded but has been stuck at "applying patch" for the last hour, anyone had a similar situation ?

EDIT: Well, it completed after 2h somehow
Did you have the game running at the same time as telling Galaxy to update it? One friend of mine did that and it stalled the update at 92% until he exited the game then it completed right away. Another friend stalled at 92% and freed up more disk space and it finished quickly.

It seems the best advice for updating any games with Galaxy is:

1. Make absolutely sure you have plenty of disk space available on the drive Galaxy is using, and at least the amount that Galaxy tells you you need, which will be much larger than the actual download due to temporary files during patching process patching large game files.

2. Make sure the given game is not already running and ALT-TAB'd out of it. Only update games that are not running currently.

There may of course be other scenarios that cause updates to hang also, but these are two at least that I've discovered cause problems and are easy to avoid. Hope this helps someone reading this.
Or just use offline installers. Really, I don't understand why people go through this pain more than once :)

Every time the new patch comes out, these threads about Galaxy stuck on 99% or patch re-downloading 80GB just pop up. Every. Single. Time.
