midrand: This is a mature 18+ game - don't try to make it into a family friendly fest. Just ignore Cyberpunk if mature themes somehow offend you.

fedstim: hmm, dont know. I am 30+, and for me it more looks like game for teenagers.
I'm not commenting on quality of content - I'm saying that putting black bars on a game with 18+ rating is silly. It will not make it family friendly all of a sudden.

It's not about making it family friendly, it's about not forcing players to experience something they might not be completely okay with and if black bars are too intrusive, apply pixelization.
Again, I wasn't talking about forcing it on everyone, but just having the option there doesn;t hurt anyone (and make it off by default so ppl won't complain stupidly).
The "in your face" sexualization is a part of the world. Removing it would hinder the narrative. The sexualization in ads in a part of the story and not forced. You should feel uncomfortable seeing it.

I don't think it would, the human imagination can be pretty strong, compared to some of the stuff I was thinking of when I heard about what type of world this is, it's pretty damn tame. At the end of the day it's just a game, let people experience it how they want CDPR put the option there, if they want to use it let them, no one is forcing you to use it, it's even off by default.

scrubking: go to settings from the main menu and under gameplay turn on the nudity filter
The posters remain, but seem less intrusive. Smaller, placed further, etc. Well, better than nothing, thanks.

I think some of it just gets a bit silly and overly repetitive especially. Looks more like a teen is spamming the city with the same goofy adverts rather than something I could imagine actual humans creating in a sexualized dystopia.

Feels sort of like a world where only Ad companies and Pornhub survived the franchies wars, I kind of stopped noticing after like 5 minutes.

I then suggest to replace unwanted posters with ads of CDPR other games :)) The posters are repetitive, but I just don't notice them to be honest.

Yes, I totally agree. This is one of the many things that make me think of this as a teenage game. All is obvious, "in your face" and even boring.
As an example, at DeusEx MD we come to a city that looks pretty well. But when we start dig into this, talking with people, we understand the real situation and that we have a lot of work here :)

You maybe not notice, but your brain does. And I don't know what will happen with you after 100+ hours of watching, for example, this advertisement with a man with a gun in his mouth.

Arthandas: Yes, it is the name of very popular pen & paper rpg - Cyberpunk 2020. You clearly have no clue about it yet you criticize the game for being true to it.
Yep, and a lot of it was intended as a warning to the direction humanity could go. I feel like if people don't like it then maybe it's a wake-up call to them to make some new life choices and try to change the direction of the world. You can definitely see humanity heading this route within 57 years. Not judging their preferences, since it is intended as an entertainment product after all, and I can see why people wouldn't necessarily enjoy what some might think is affronting. But yeah, I feel like the intent is also to get us to question things.
