Now that there is almost exactly 10 days to go, we've seen the previews, Night City Wires, videos, commentary, analysis both long and short, and had plenty of time to think about it, what do you think? Which life path are you planning on going with first? Are you sticking with your first impression of choice, or going a different way for your first run?

I was tending to the Street Kid, but the idea of the Nomad has really grown on me and I think that is the way I'll go first, followed by Corpo, then Street. That said, first I'll likely spend at least 2-4 hours on the character creator before I even get started.

Sorry maybe not the answer you expect...
If the game has no ingame benchmark tool like Shadow of the Tomb Raider, then i start as Street Kid because i like to start in the bustling streets and check out the performance of the game.

I'm just wondering what people are thinking about their first run. Your answer is, no matter what it is, just what I expected. Thank you for giving your opinion.

Still going Nomad. I want to experience the arrival in Night City from the outside with my character. I want to see it at the horizon getting bigger.

Like a lot of people, I'll probably go Nomad for my first run to see Night City for the first time alongside my character, but the idea of going Corpo first is also appealing 'cause it looks the most interesting.

Changed? No.
It's always been a Female Corp Hacker who uses Smartguns.
Still uncertain if I'm going to try to burn them all down for kicking me out or use this an an opportunity to climb my way to the top!

That's kind of the way I'm looking at it. The Corpos are the ultimate insiders, and the Street Kids, while on the low end of the social scale, are still creatures of the city. I want to first come at it as a true outsider, not a part of the city at all, then start from the bottom in Night City. After that get into the machiavellian stuff with a Corpo, then the in-between with a Streeter.

I havent really thought about lifepaths. Im more interested in fooling around with Keanu and checking the clubs if theres any. I had hoped there would be tons of "Night Life" stuff. but we will see. I want to dress cool too.

Corpo is sure interesting, Ive asked if they could do Corpo DLC.

Not really. Compositions have stayed the same in my head. But I think the character I'm going to start with has changed.

I have three ideas, probably shared with many:
- Scrawny street kid with tech and hacking abilities. Likes to use mostly his mantis claws and maybe a pistol.
- Nomad bully. Fights, shoots and drinks.
- Corpo stealth who relies on wits and sneak. Some what reliant on tech too.

I will probably make my characters glass cannons in a way. Of course the nomad wouldn't be a glass cannon if I've stacked my points to body and fighting perks.

Guys... How about we first boot up the game, THEN think what next?



You do you, but i personally just don't think that much about what i am going to do before i start a game.


I know i am going with Corpo, though, because i think it fits Cyberpunk best. And to defy people,because most seem to be going with Street Kid or Nomad

Street kid!
This is from the day we got the three choises.

With inspirations from "Hiro Protagonist" so Hacker/Katana/Melee. It will be glorious!

My life choice has been, and always will be, Nomad. This is the only life path where your V has never been to Night City, and you the player has never been there either. This means much more immersion. I.e, if your V says "Wow, look at that!" You may well be thinking the same thing! You can then play either of the other two life paths, as both of them live in and know the city, and so have you now!

I was going Corpo but Alanah Pearce stated she voices an npc in the Nomad start. So, yeah.

I was always nomad. Just speaks to me more. Vehicles that actually look badass, nice environment, seemingly more classic values overall, way more stylish dresscode.

There's always time for trying out the city slickers at some point, but trying to actually roleplay those characters is difficult until I know a little bit more about their environment and culture. But RP'ing an uncultured out-of-towner with some minor temper control issues who just came in on the afternoon express? Yeah, pretty sure I can do that one.
