dear GOG forum,

I've been playing on the PC since the release of Cyberpunk and keep noticing strange, continuous fps drops dying up to 30 fps and then staying at the fps for some time and then back to my 45-50 fps by default. Even when I'm fighting and the scenes are being monitored, my fps drops really hard ...
I have installed the latest hardware, which I have no way of knowing that these blatant fps problems come from.
Graphics settings are on the move on RayTracing Ultra with DLLS.

Hardware:
Motherboard: MAG X570 MSI Tomahawk Wifi
GPU: RTX 3060 TI Founders Edition
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core
Power supply: Seasonal 750 watt gold
Monitor: ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR WQHD 165 Hz G-Sync 1 ms response time

hopefully somebody can help me out.

best regards

I turned ray tracing off, with everything on ultra/high.

DLSS turned to quality to ensure that nothing gets fuzzy. The performance DLSS settings make everything fuzzy. Stay away from it.

The reflections without Ray tracing are really impressive... crisp image + stable frame rate is much more immersive IMO.

Yes we all want ray tracing, but at this point it’s not worth the 20+ FPS.

2080 super 3700x 16GB Playing at 1440p

Ultra + DLSS quality = 60-90 FPS

Ultra + DLSS quality + medium ray tracing = 40-60fps. Can dip into the 30s...

You are probably running 60-90+ easily, you have a very good config. The game needs fixes, not only the tech, but missions, so far, a good cinematic experience for the high-end players.
I seriously suspect that Cyberpunk has some kind of memory leak or asset streaming problem. If I restart my game regularly, my FPS stay up. If I play 3-4 hours my FPS will tank considerably even if I visit areas where Ive been before with 60+ FPS.
With RT off it stays much more stable, but if turn RT on my FPS go down to 30 (lowest) and never really recover after some time - or even quicker if I only visit another district.

The games RAM problems feel like good old Fallout 3 or Morrowind to me. I want to type "pcb" in my console to free the RAM.

yea exactly, i had the same problem as you with my rtx turned on at highest. very unstable, dropped to 30 fps and didnt recover to his 45-50 fps as usual. Now as i said, i turned rtx completeley off and it is stable at his 60+fps but from my config. it could be more i think but i think the game needs some perfomance improvements for pc.
Shadows are the fps killer
