I am on an older version. The number is irrellevant. It contains features that were removed in a newer version.
For these reasons, I have locked updates and even set the version to keep in the installation options.

Now, a while ago, the specific version I chose vanished from these options. This scared me a little, but it seemed to not force any update, so it was fine.

Today, it tried to force an update, despite ALL GOG UPDATES being set to ONLY work when I manually trigger them.

What I need help with, is someone telling me that I do not need to pirate a game I already bought to keep the version I want. That this was a purely visual glitch, that I can download a completely offline version of the version I have right now, that I can keep playing as I want with the product I bought.

You pirate it you will no longer get support here. What was removed you don't like? This update makes the game the way it should have been at launch. It is now near perfect.

You're with GOG here. You don't need to pirate if you bought it.

When you open the game in your GOG web account, go to "View Downloads".

Should you be looking for the 1.63 version, it is at the bottom of the page - "Legacy 1.63".
(the 1.62 patches are in the middle of the page)

Think more 1.05 I think I perfectly articulated that I could not care any less about the tech support, when the issues are what I am missing.
Until cops stop teleporting ENTIRELY or at least only at like 5 city blocks distance and with car chases and so on, the glitches in the older versions are more fun than the "fixed" game of the current ones.


Also, just saying this in general, again, for some reason: I DONT CARE WHAT VERSION IT IS, THE PROBLEM IS THAT IT TRIED UPDATING IT DESPITE **EVERY** SETTING BEING SET TO NEVER DO THAT UNLESS I PERSONALLY TRIGGER AN UPDATE

gog galaxy rollback feature list only 4(5?) previous builds. that one is normal symptom.

most such glitches are glitches and not bugs. limit fps, reduce visual settings.
