Hi, i'm here to ask you a question: What can i do to fix this nasty bug ? Not only i can't create a character because is blacked ( i can only see is eyes ) but everyone is blacked too !

I have uninstaled/Reinstaled 2 time the game, launch in administrator i don't know what can i do now..

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english
sadly i have the same problem.

ingame, it all looks ok and i got the HDR settings that everything looks pretty good.

Except the Character in the creation at the beginning of the game and in the inventory (screenshot attached).

any idea what to do? why is this still so dark, when the rest of the game looks all good and bright?

Jeff
Same here. Characters are borderline black silhouettes in darkness and V is nearly completely blacked out in the inventory screen (as well as the character creation screen, I had to wing it and hope for the best). This wasn't a problem a year ago, so it broke at some point later.

I did some digging, it's a recent problem and it seems more prominent with AMD users. The only workaround is to roll back to a previous version of the gpu drivers (namely 21.10.02, still available on AMD's drivers page). I tested it and it fixed the problem for me.

Exactly. Actually you have your rollback drivers on your C:\AMD if you don't do fabrication reset when upgrading your gpu. I had 21.11.3 and it worked for me.

The new 22.2.2 drivers doesn't solve the problem either
This is why, when I read "first, update your GPU drivers" on a "solutions" page, I laugh. And laugh. And laugh.
I suffer this problem too, wanted to see how the game has changed and get the black silhouette avatar right in the character creation with the newest 22.2.2 AMD Drivers for Win11 on my RX 480 8GB.
I remember that problem occured in the past also at some point when i wanted to test changes from patches so it is baffling to me that this problem stil exists or has reoccured.

I made a bug report to AMD too but if it is that long unfixed they seem not have it on a high priority.

i get this issue also. i REALLY REALLY don't wanna roll back my drivers :/ come on AMD fix it!
yep, installed it again since i refused to play this Day 1 Product and - welcome to the Club, same Issue as you Guys. I am really not in the Mood to restore to an older Driver yet, so i wait on whats coming the next Days.
the latest Driver update didnt fix it either. Just recieved it right now.
I've had this problem since December. And AMD still hasn't solved it. I also wrote. And still nothing. The problem is that when you go back to older drivers where it still works, the game goes noticeably worse sometimes there are differences of even 15 fps. So all that remains is to wait for the repair, unfortunately. I have rx 470 4g
AMD driver update in March 7 still have this problem. I'll buy Nvidia next time.
Still an issue...

It's unbelievable that even after the next update it's not fixed. This is a trivial mistake! AMD doesn't solve that.
