So, since getting 1.63, I can only craft common clothing mods. My V is level 50, Street Cred 50 and has Crafting at level 20, and all I can craft is Common mods.

Did the update break or deliberately nerf crafting?

Edit: I had a backup of 1.52, from before I downgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and I loaded a 1.52 save, and can craft Legendary mods just fine. It's only on 1.6x that crafting results only in Common mods.

This may be obvious, but you do have the required perks to craft higher-tier equipment?

Crafting has always been a bit buggy, so no surprises there, but I haven't heard anything about nerfs to mod crafting. That said, my own installation of Cyberpunk 2077 is so modded, I don't really know how the base game is supposed to work anymore. Also, I am still only on patch 1.6 to not break any of the mods, so my knowledge is a bit outdated.

EDIT:
If you got CyberEngineTweaks (CET) installed, I can give you the console commands for the crafting recipies for all the mods.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the perks. In the 1.52 save, the clothing mod recipes are Legendary. In the 1.63 save, the mod recipes are Common (same character, except in 1.52 she only had Crafting at level 19.

I guess it doesn't matter now anyway, though. When swapping back to the 1.63 folder, Windows apparently deleted several files that are needed to start up the game (god, I *HATE* Windows 10). I had to run "Verify / Repair" in GOG Galaxy, and my crafting recipes are back to being Legendary. I'm guessing something got screwed up during the update process.

And now, I can no longer use my QoL mods. At all. I'm about ready to just uninstall this game.
The mods that broke likely did so after reading game save files from different patches.

That should be fixed with a reinstall of the affected mods.

Crafting was heavily redone.
with 1.6x
When you get a mod, it is always white.... then your passive crafting level determines what rarity of mod you actually get when you craft it.
It says this if you check the description of it when mousing over the crafting recipe in the crafting screen.
