Come on Guys its 2077, flashlights were invented almost 200 years ago. Or how about some night vision stuff. So many building and dark corners cannot see crap.
Now that you mention, it would be cool to switch at will to nightvision/thermal without it being scanner mode or braindance. I do like the effects on braindance and.. Well, I do like effects in many places. Though I'm not far enough to know if they do or do not actually exist.

The Kiroshi's in the pen and paper come with all kinds of things you can toss into your eyes, nightvision, thermal is just one of them, so it's canon too that they could have nightvision or thermal. For some strange reason they didn't.

That said, if you turn the scanner on, it tends to brighten up the room a little bit.

Really? If anything, the image gets quite a bit darker for me when using scanner mode.
