To this day I cannot run this game :(
I'm stuck with gimped playstation version.

I double click executable and it briefly shows something in the game folder and then disappears.
I've tried all methods. Maybe I missed one or few?

Can someone please list all the things that can help me with starting this game on windows7?
All my other games work except for Cyberpunk 2077.

I don't have a clue, since I do not yet own CP2077. But it might help if you add some details.
a) CPU, RAM,...
b) can you run it from the command line? Maybe there is some more error message output?
(e.g. missing libraries, ~ CPU command features, insufficient memory or something like that)
Check the minimum system requirements in the support page.

You need 64-bit windows 7, updated directx and graphics drivers. Especially graphics drivers I think. Check your Cyberpunk installation folder and look for a crashdump. You may need to submit a ticket to support with the crash dump information. Good luck. You may have to bite the bullet and get a win10 or win11 machine to play this. :/ Seriously high hardware and software specs. Maybe a second hand GTX 1060 machine? Check the barebones specs.

Support was unable to help; all they said was: it's my pc's fault due to many errors; Typical Microsoft response.

I need dx12 for my windows 7 64bit sp1 without those two KB's that I can't even install; so I can extract dll's inside sys32, wow64?

1080ti came out with dx12 am I wrong?

X 980 CPU?
Do you mean a "AMD Phenom II X4 980" maybe?
This would support:
MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4a, ABM, Enhanced 3DNow!, NX bit, AMD64, (CnQ, AMD-V)

and is below the minimum specs:

AMD FX-8310
(which supports
MMX(+), SSE1 - 2 - 3 - 3s - 4.1 - 4.2 - 4a, NX bit, AMD64, (AMD-V, IOMMU), AES, CLMUL, AVX, AVX 1.1, XOP, FMA3, FMA4, F16C, ABM, BMI1, TBM, (Turbo Core 3.0., PowerNow!, EVP, ECC) )

It might be you need an updated CPU. For Socket AM3 you can check if some FX still fits, but you might need a strong one. Or try to get a recent Zen offering. Zen and Zen+ works with W7, you might need some PS/2 port though for your keyboard. The should still be drivers for chipsets around later, but this won't work during a W7 new installation.

novumZ: I-7 980x
Your CPU doesn't support AVX and SSE4a. Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310 from the min spects do support AVX and SSE4a. Could this be the missing features, so that it doesn't run on your cpu?

For Real!?
I'm running witcher 3 better then people with rtx 3090 on youtube and I can't run cp2077!!??

I'm in disbelief.
I worked so hard on my system I will not trash it because of Cyberpunk 2077!

I have a good old old i4670k, with avx, and it crashes like mad as well. With updated GPU drivers (a gtx 980ti) and playing with resolution and all. In particular my game crashes on certain effects it seems - only game I have tried that does so.

Just to add something else to the anecdotal evidence. W7x64 as well.

I'm using Intel i5-4670K, 16 GB RAM and GeForce GTX1070 with (lower) medium settings and Cyberpunk didn't crash like mad. Actually it crashed less than Fallout games (even fully patched). Glitches? Yes, sometimes. But nothing that could block my gameplay and progress. And I've played since the very beginning.

Working hard on your system is irrelevant, your CPU doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for the game. The Witcher 3 is four years older than Cyberpunk 2077, which is a next-gen title in virtually every definition of the term. Making that comparison just doesn't work, especially since 2077 is a very, very CPU-intensive game.

At the end of the day, a CPU upgrade is required. You're not "trashing" your system, you'd literally only be helping yourself by grabbing a CPU upgrade. Mine exceeded the minimum requirements, just barely, and I got it running comfortably well via some tweaks but I'm still upgrading my CPU very soon. I'll be going from an AMD FX-8320 (minimum is the FX-8310) to an AMD Ryzen 5 3600. Because of the age of my motherboard, I have to get a new one and I decided to grab a few other minor upgrades while I'm at it; it's going to set me back roughly $600 total, which is pretty rough but it'll be worth it. Judging by everything I've heard and everyone I've talked to, the game should run exceedingly well on that particular CPU. As crappy as it is, PCs do have to be upgraded every so often to keep up with advancements in tech, that's just how it works.

I was thinking of getting 4970k? but the naming of it put me off haha.
I love my 980x you know, you sort of get attached to a cpu after a while; I overclocked it so many times, got it up to over 21ghz (unsustained of course). Mounted/Dismounted so many times. I suppose I can love anything lol.

You can always keep that one and go for a complete new rig next to it. I still have my good old Pentium 4 2,66 Ghz northwood with windows xp sp3. I use it for my scanner (a hp scanjet 5400c, which can't run at windows 8.1 and vuescan doesn't work with it either) when i need to scan something (like documents or photos) And sometimes i play some older games on it as well.

I would love to buy a new PC. Money is not the issue.
But as far as my research went I know this:
a) all motherboards come with radios (wi-fi/blu-tooth/4G, and so on). Basically no privacy. But if you do know a motherboard and a cpu that has no wireless tech built in by all means please let me know.
Thanks for this comment by the way.

Are you sure about that? Because fast search shows something different:
https://www.x-kom.pl/g-5/c/14-plyty-glowne.html?f[7081][150549]=1

187 MBs without any wireless connections. 81 if you want to stay with AMD.

Buy parts and set some nice rig. In 2022Q1 should be "next gen" patches for Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3.
