I love the game in general, I have been getting around the constant crashes, problematic graphics, and the glitches by restarting the game every hr or so (I'm on a last gen console), but my biggest irritation (outside of the previously mentioned issues) is that to maintain an armor score commiserate with my level, and to keep the mod slots up, I have to dress like I'm insane! in this mishmash of differently styled clothing! For a game that banks big on style I have little to no options for my chars actual style, unless I want get one shot by a random mob! ATM I have a futuristic samurai helmet (purple), Aviator sunglasses (gold), a trenchcoat (gold), A samurai teeshirt (gold), camo slim fit pants (purple), and dress shoes (purple). I look F*&%ing mad, like I robbed a thrift store and grabbed whatever I could. I've tried to upgrade the styled clothing that I like, but the cost is a s*&^ ton of mats for a 2-3 point armour bump, hence my cool leather jacket at 36 armour would cost insane amounts of mats and eddies to be at the level of my Time Worn Trench coat with 108.8 armour w/four mod slots, and the leather coat would still be short two mod slots. Not to mention everytime I look in a mirror, or change views while driving I am bald, no hair, no hat. I have 234206 eddies ATM, so I've gone to every clothing shop I can find, and there are no crafting plans, or items for sale, to at least not look like I got f&%$ed up and couldn't dress myself properly. I don't know? am I missing something here? or does everyone run around looking this f&^%ing stupid until they luck into a good combo? Like I said above, for a game that puts a lot of it's appeal into style and appealing to a edgy ethos it's extremely f&^%ing annoying that there aren't better options

This was a disappointment for me too, I ended up switching some items in favor of worse but prettier.
Also specced a lot in body and some stats that increase armor. Obviously less than ideal since you want to spec for your char not your gear...

Additionally you can get cybernetics (bottom left ones) that also give straight armor.
I got a 90 armor implant which is almost a coat. :)
Sure you would still be tankier with said coat... It's not ideal.

Upgrading is way too weak and way too expensive to even upgrade a single item I liked too. Tried to keep my pants relevant but soon ran out of materials. Now I just hope a similar one drops on a relevant level.
There are talents in the tech tree to make upgrading cheaper, but since it seemed to utterly useless I never tried them out.

The baldness issue seems to be a common bug. All my clothes/hairstyle/skin/genitals randomly disappear in mirrors and headwear/hair is missing for a couple seconds on bikes too.
I am really trying to look the other way with a lot of the game breaking bugs, but some of the issues that would still be there even if everything worked the way it was supposed to are rising to the surface and making it difficult to justify. I'm lvl 33 with 50 street cred, so it's not like I am looking for a reason to hate on the game, but damn, this is ruff going. I also just read an article with info from a board meeting that there are were no real plans to optimise this game for last gen consoles, and are no plans to have this game run well on last gen consoles in the future. That they focused on PC and next gen console optimization, and will do so going forward, yeah, getting really difficult to look the other way and struggle through with no light at the end of the tunnel.
I was disappointed that one of the first things I saw at a store was one piece of a Japanese outfit.
I have now been to every store in the game and there are no other Japanese clothing pieces at all.
So you cannot even complete the outfit you started with the first piece.

It is like they started making things for the game, got bored and quit.
Clothing and armour in this game sucks balls. It's a similar story with other features in the game sadly, I feel some peeps in the design team really didn't think things through very well. I mean, they *did* put in a Brandance sequence that used a real life flashing light sequence used in medical equipment that is *BY DESIGN FOR CHRISTS SAKE* meant to trigger Epilectic seizures (?!?!) and then also omitted a seizure warning (?!?!). Both issues have since been corrected by patches but HOW ON EARTH DID IT GET THROUGH IN THE FIRST F**K!NG PLACE CDPR?? - FFS!!

But I digress...

At least in Witcher 3, the best armours did actually look cool. In CP 2077, clothes with great armour uniformly look like trash and separate peices don't go together AT ALL making your character look like a f**k!ng joke!! And this in a game world where *looking cool* and streed cred is meant to be all important.

How could they eff this up so badly?

Here's an easy fix that I hope CDPR will implement: Give *ALL* clothing items no armour value at all but also all clothing items 1 to 3 mod slots that you can add armadillo or other mods to, in order to add "armour" or other effects, eg. crit chance/damage, and up the armour values of common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary versions of armadillo. Make everything available in all clothing stores (except the unique items like Johnny's gear set which should still be a story reward obvioulsy) so that players can choose both their style and armour value/bonuses to suit themselves, constrained only by how many eddies they have available and/or street cred level.

I know some clothing does have mod slots already, but they are few and far between, especially in the early game. they of course need to fix the bugs with bonuses from clothing mods and perks not working as well.

This is only one problem with the game, there are many others, for example the "object you can't pick up" bug that has existed in the Red Engine since the days of the Witcher 2 and still hasn't been fixed.

And what about floating objects/npc's and ventriliquist npc's who can seemlingly talk without moving their mouths (again, this is a holdover from previous iterations of the Red Engine - it is not so important to have moving mouths for speech in third person games, but in first person it looks stupid when a character talks without the animation to match it)

Don't get me wrong, I *am* enjoying the game, this post makes it sound like I am not. However, I am dissappointed that they released the game with so many issues, some of them extremely serious (ref. the seizure issue). They had already made tons of money with the pre-orders, why the hell didn't they just take a little extra time to get it ready properly? I know they had already delayed three times, but better negative press about delays than the absolute PR disaster that issues like this invoke!
I hit lvl 50 today and have mostly oranges with maxed crafted (lvl 50) orange and purple mods as well. I play in first person so it is only during cut scenes or whatever that I notice how I look, but man my character looks stupid. My clothes look terrible, mostly because I have no idea how to find matching sets.

It would be nice if there were some some stores that sell themed clothing sets. Like a suit store, or a baggy clothes store. As much as I despise GTA V they did it right.

I don't know how to share screenshots on GOG like you can on Steam, but I look exactly like one of those "people of Walmart." I would love (since my crafting is maxed) to be able to buy or find (through questing perhaps) some of those "special" full body ones I keep hearing about, but the only ones I have found are hazmat suits and some kind of scubadiving net suit thing. And even then, the game does not show your feet hat or glasses, so you look like your in your pajamas. It is not a game breaker for me, but if I had to play in 3rd person it would be difficult to take the game seriously, as my character is clearly on his way to Walmart at 3am *face palm*

To be able to make good items by your self you need:
- max street cred to have all shops and all items in them
- TECH 18 (to be able craft legendary items) and CRAFTING 18 to unlock all crafting specs.

So it is not just "gain enough level" but also spend time on actually using the craft skill, before you can create good items yourself.

And what if Tech is not one of my primary attributes because it doesn't fit my build? Why do I, because of the way I chose to shape my playstyle/character, have make a choice between looking like a douche or maxing my stats.

As I said:

*Remove armour values from clothes (it's frankly *RIDICULOUS* that my fabric suit jacket has a 20 point higher armour value than my heavy duty leather jacket anyway (??))

*Add 1 - 3 mod slots to *ALL" clothing items - more mod slots requires more eddies and/or higher street cred.

*Allow *ALL* clothing vendors to sell *ALL* types of clothing mod. Common, uncommon, rare, epic and legendary versions of mods can be sold by different vendors and obviously, the required eddies and/or street cred would be higher for higher tiered items (epic/legendary for example).

These simple modifications would allow every player to customise their appearance without having to sacrifice armour value or other bonuses that fit with their play style. It would be far superior to the system now in place.

I do like GorgieAWG's suggestion about having different vendors sell different clothing sets, so each vendor would cater to a certain audience. It would add some realism as well as it's pretty true to life.

Well, it is part of the Cyberpunk system definition I guess... you have to sacrifice something: your look, your armor or your skills.

Skills sacrifice isn't really that bad as it seems at first. You can still get 2 skills to 20 and one more to 10, while having tech on 18.
And it is not like it is a total waste "just for craft" - you have armor bonus, explosion resistance, tech weapon, grandees, extra options for opening doors and interacting with devices.

And on top of that you can of course ignore it totally and just go on with finds and shops. I did not pay much attention if they follow the style, but definitely different shops sell very different clothing so maybe there is a chance that future patches will make it even more immersive.

As for world finds - I read somewhere that you can complete a nice looking sets with good stats just by going to places and collecting it. For free and with no crafting skills. So perhaps that is yet another way to it.
