Tracido: Leisure Suit Larry, Magna Cum Laude proves you wrong, and full of it.
Seriously ? Dude you should have spent 5 seconds doing a quick Google search : https://www.esrb.org/ratings/10249/Leisure+Suit+Larry%3A+Magna+Cum+Laude+Uncut+and+Uncensored/

The uncut version is AO (Adult Only) not M (despite being "cartoony" and definitely not "hardcore" by any mean), the M version had to be censored to be able to get an M rating, and then they re-released on PC the "uncut" (i.e. AO) version at a later date.

They censored in confusion, and didn't know the limit, and still had more nudity running around all game than anything you were talking about.

I don't need to search squat, I was on the original forums for the game.

They were told it was the fact they rendered too much fully shaved vulva. Which you clearly can't find from google.

Forum post of not it doesn't change that fact that the uncensored / uncut version is AO and not M.

XD That wasn't the point, at all. XD

The point was it's a game with insane amounts of nudity, and the ONLY thing they censored was the bottoms, because they didn't understand all they had to do was add more pubic hair, which takes more development time, which they did not have.

xemmy: Disgusting. I defended CDPR so far, but censoring their own game for no reason?
CP2077 really is a total mess.
There are reasons, though. Big ones. Ones which are out of CDPR control, too: called "governments". If you don't know about them - doesn't mean they do not exist. Rather, simply not explained in mass media. But lots of folks in gamedev - pretty any company ever tried to publish "adult" content - can tell you heaps about it.

So, i agree this post-launch removal of adult content is sure inappropriate, but if you want to blame some - blame geriatric marasmatic and impotent old men who "govern" way too many countries across the globe.

Not they would care though. ;)

So, you're saying they censored it for all the governments of the world, then sold it censored the same for all?

Not how that works. Each country with gevernment limits is dealt with individually, like Saudi Arabia.

However, Japan demands censorship on console games, but it hasn't a THING to do with government, it's 100% Sony. in that case, but ONLY for Japan

Nothing whatsoever to do with government anywhere but Saudi Arabia and maybe Australia, which has gotten more reasonable lately..

Well in truth in game media have been going ''lowest common denominator '' in goverments and what the guidelines for games in the countries they want a game in to be sellable is.. this has been done for years to lessen extra work and money spent adjusting games for other regions.. granted Console wise thats a different subject .. Aswell as I am unsure some games get censored with a patch later on but I am just saying is all

To excuse this from a company that took 50 re-cuts of sex scenes in the Witcher 2 for United States audiences, to GET the MOST content into the game says plenty about how worthless they are now as a company that you can state they are the same as every other. XD

Times have changed. Witcher 2 times are gone, and so are (rather loose) regulations and requirements of those times.

When it was some one, or two, big countries for which "separately developed" versions would need to be shipped - then it was frankly quite sensible to put some effort. But when it's dozens countries and lots of them have plenty detailed "rules" and such? Nightmare to deal with via "individual versions"; definitely not viable for a studio. Plus, lots of things become international now, which complicates things further.

Today, multiple governments in Asia, Middle East, Europe and elsewhere _ban_ many titles, including AAA ones, on their territory. For somewhat impressive, but by far not complete, list - see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_video_games .

See, for example, Germany. One of largest economies, and seemingly not banning "nudity" games. But as you can see in that list, gore is what them germans ban alot. And so - all the following is merely a wildest guess, - i can quite imagine how corresponding german authority would send something like "look pals, you gots LOTS of gore in your game, and we wanna ban it, especially since it's many gore scenes involving nudity as well, which we especially do not like". Which is indeed one rather sick thing even for (modern, average) mature person. And since removing gore from CP2077 is frankly impossible (given the nature of the game), it had to be nudity to be removed - "if you want to sell your game in Germany at all" and somesuch.

All you told me was, AAA is censored baby trash now and forever and never buy again from them, ever.

Thank goodness companies on Steam are taking risks with ACTUAL Adults Only games.

https://youtu.be/4u6RB7ma2WA Red Dead Redemption 2 calls all the bullshit out on nudity lies, though. Rockstar, they are the ONLY AAA left with any care for their customer base beyond age 10.

Game of the year for 2020 is officialy RDR2. For every other reason this game failed, though.. Dunkey explains, too. https://youtu.be/llrebUD0pk0

How did my reply come off as excusing the censorship matters and such? I just was stating a truth on how the rules/laws are and how game companies tend to now go with the lowest common denominator for the least likilyhood of needing to alter a game that much if at all for other markerts they'd desire releasing a game in

By the way I am against Censorship and changing a vision of something as a whole ..

Because it is, there is only one decent company when it comes to dealing with censorship. Rockstar.

They made sure to not remove even full frontal nudity from their latest open world RPG for ALL here.

They even had the decency to re-release Manhunt 2 in Adults Only format. SeedyPR, nothing of the sort.

Hell even the other I ALREADY MENTIONED WAS IGNORED. Watchdogs 2 has ENTIRE NUDIST COMMUNITIES FULLY FRONTALLY NUDE.

Seems you don't have reading compression or missing my piont .. I am saying in a way simple manner ''Lots of Media entertainment companies wants money..Media entertainment companies does something with the least expense involved to get the most money possible'' That is a cold hard fact.. not a excuse .. if you are looking for one as you seem to be given your insistence of me stating what I had is a excuse.. then you will always find it... like anything else really .. As I am not defending or excusing the pratice I just know why the censoring in terms of media usually happens .. That is all I am saying here.. Because my statement was not a excuse or defending any company nor a pratice

Which brings the reason people were upset in the first place, they LIED, said it would be an adult rpg, and absolutely had no intention of delivering that kind of product, and wanted to mass sell to children. Since they did not have to censor nearly anything that was removed.

That is true at the very least what you just stated on why people are upset and mad.. I may not have been hyped about the game like others nor followed it but I was aware of some of the lies and antics going on .. so I understand the anger and such going on here.. granted the only reason I have Cyberpunk 2077 in my account I admit is because of despite the lies and such what the product came out to be from some playthroughs I watched bits of is alot like what I can best districribe as a Skyrim or Fallout 4 with a Cyberpunk coating of paint and I know I enjoyed those games in terms of the game play .Granted I got those two when on sale but still its the reason I got this one game here
