There is another thread on forum regarding this.

For me worked downloading the update from Microsoft website called "Platform Update for Windows 7". It containts file named Windows6.1-KB2670838-x64.msu

QuickSB: Seems there is a problem with GOG launcher, what helped for me was launching the .exe directly in the bin folder of the game.
GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe
Does launching it this way track play time and achievements?

Max12423: I hit play but the game doesn't launches. I have tried reinstalling and disabling the antivirus and I have the latest graphic driver. Please help if you can I've been at this for hours now.

Sinafey86: disable GOG overlay, and smartscreen, those might help, if u truely updated drivers and windows
What is smartscreen and how do I change the setting?

Frunevskis: Found a solution!

I had the same issue as some of the people here where nothing was working.
I'd click play, it would grey out the button, sync, sync again and nothing.

I tried launching the .exe file directly and would get some missing file error.

I did a visual C++ update and it worked!
