I think this forums fit best to give feedback. I hate how with all technologies modern games tends to have bloated with unnecessary unrealistic/exaggerated effects, that even cheapest video camera wont have (I'm not even talking about human eye). Here is demonstration youtu.be/iCYZcfKCfr0 And I literally cant drive this car youtu.be/Z92-wxyU9ko because of that. I dont have HDR and raytracing enabled.

Dude I feel you, driving some cars in first person is near impossible (e.g. Little Mule) and I'm nearly blinded sometimes while walking around.
I also dont have HDR or raytracing enabled.
The auto exposure is way too strong and needs to be toned down.

I don't know if this will help at all or even be relevant, but in the video portion of setup, you can adjust the gamma setting and it makes ginormous difference in my game.

As for not being able to drive, there is a motorcycle with a windshield that totally blocks your view and the rest of the screen burns out your retinas. With the gamma adjustment, i can make it tolerable

Agreed. Street is too bright when viewing from inside the building and opposite. This is not anyhow realistic. Human eye has very high dynamic range. And this effect is emulating low dynamic range of photo cameras. Couldn't play Kingdom Come Deliverance because of this. It was even far more worse and very headachy.

The Arch

Keanu's Company are making it https://www.archmotorcycle.com/ the turning circle in game idk maybe a brick turns better.

So much inspiration and the stories in the game are derived from Keanu's roles all of that is great it's the bugs and the flaws, Player camera view height in 99% of the cars needs to be raised the dash occupying 50% of screen realestate and they give you a stupid Minimap that's so useless at speed you miss turns everytime doing a 180 every turn the joy.

OMG!!! I thought it was my inability to drive (sorta like RL ;P

Driving is also like towing a very small trailer. any little movement starts a fish tail thingy. It's almost like you're driving on ice constantly.

With my clothing speed mods, I carry an outfit that offers me 130% speed increase. It's faster to run and jump at my destination in a straight line then to bother with vehicles. AND, i always find 2 or 3 little encounters and "prize" box thingies too.

I now want/need a game mod that allows me to swap outfits with a single input.

Yeah it is way way way overpowered and makes the game unplayable at times because you just can't see due to everything being completely bright white. It isn't just while driving though, it also happens when on foot I find. I've taken countless screenshots of the worst instances of it so far, and also searched for how to disable this "feature" to no avail. I'd rather just completely turn it off than have it interfere with my ability to enjoy the game.

I want and prefer to drive first-person in these types of games but with this "feature" it makes it 100% impossible to get around, you just literally can't see 3 feet in front of your face due to the insane over-exposure, it's ridiculous.

Update: In hindsight, maybe they intend for us to play the game *at night*, since it is "Night City" afterall. Yes, I know it is names after Richard Night, but still... :) Perhaps a workaround for this is to just tuck away in a safe zone briefly and use the game's "wait here" skip time feature to fast forward to sundown to avoid the annoying over-exposure.

Attempting to post a screenshot to demonstrate the problem at its worst. If the screenshot doesn't show up it is because GOG's forum is disallowing it or censoring it (I've tried twice on another thread).

Update: it worked here, I went and tried it again on the other post and it worked there so it seems to have been a random failure of the forum software that passed.

Have you tried messing with Video options or Drivers ? that is nuts
RT in this game is so broken. Glass surfaces don't reflect player character, light intensity is unrealistically high in vehicles.
To be honest I don't really see any visual improvements by turning on RT aside the mentioned problems.

Ray Tracing by very definition is about Light and Shadow results not reflections, you may be seeing the result of mirrored light paths but the rendered solid objects are not part of light the solid objects might be used to calculate refracted light blocked paths etc for casting.

Compositions of varying techniques and methods to output a scene.

The option is under RT tab tho

It's only bread until you burn it sufficiently.

There's nothing to mess with with the drivers, I'm using the official latest nvidia driver which was updated for Cyberpunk specifically when the game came out. Doesn't matter at all though, I have yet to run into a single person who does not experience this bug regardless of what video hardware or driver they're using. The drivers are configured with stock nvidia defaults and no overrides. The in game graphics are currently set on low everything to get some modicum of performance so I can play at a lovely 15fps, but it makes no difference what the graphics are set to, it isn't a misconfigured graphics setup, but just a poor algorithm for simulating eye/camera contrast in the game and no settings changes can ever fix that really.

I am tempted to dig into the game's files and see if I can find the shaders that are responsible and either disable them or modify them myself though. A nice one-liner should bypass it entirely which would be just perfect. :)
