People are hating on this game but i am in love with it. I am just about to see Keanu for the first time and i love the graphics, the levelling, the sneaking (not exactly a Metal Gear Solid but it will do), the story...

25 hours in and ITS GREAT!! City in beautiful/epic/ugly/gritty/detailed and the story is shaping up nicely too.
you will always find some that love to hate something popular just because they feel like individualists then...
expectations where also sky high so there is bound to be some dissapointment.
then there is the fact that its a very taxing game. so ppl may run into stability issues with their machines they did not notice before. and of course... the most easy and convinient solution is to blame the software, no matter how silly it is to blame hard system crashes of modern windows on applications.

i agree its a great game with stellar world building and stoy telling.
i really do not like combat in this game though. ive ran into enemies having 20 times my health, and even the casual street tug eats a whole magazine from an assault rifle to the face before he falls over. kinda breaks my immersion. when i shoot a high callibre round into some dudes head, i want to see him dead, not lose 15% of his hitpoints.

People is pissed on the performance and stability side, so far, my mix of medium and high are doing the trick, I need to check the city more in deeph.

it is a difficult moment for the company, when The Witcher 3 was realease, bugs happened, but this one is very broken on the old consoles, and we have PC users with problems that brings that Todd Howard smell to a public that was too hyped and too confident, because in terms of the world building and characters, only a fool don´t see how good Cyberpunk is on this behalf.

and some game journalists are more activists than any other thing, some people want a miracle to run everything as the same after 5 years with the same hardware, etc, etc.

Lack of interactivity with the envrionment. Lack of role playing oppurtunities. The way objectives just show up on your map without any interaction or context.People wanted organic police chases, drug use, meaningful ripperdoc scenarios that felt personal and like you were transforming your body from something human into something cybernetic. Instead it's just fluff. You walk up to a counter, implants are dealt with through a menu. You want to eat? You do it in a menu. You want to drink? You do it in a menu. Honestly, Ion Fury, a frickin build engine game has more interactivity than Cyberpunk.

What about side quests? How about a shady implant thief luring you into a building with an attractive person waving you down. How about interacting with a detective that needs a bit more firepower for that loan shark bust. How about any motivation what so ever to take down a group of randos walking around pre determined paths waiting for you rather than a phone call from someone you haven't even met in person unless you go out of your way to do so.

The Witcher 3 is well known for it's unique and intersting fleshed out side quests. Where are they here?

It's lazy. It's not immersive. it's raw. No one is arguing against the graphics or the main story, the problem is the main story got all the love and the world is an ocean that is one inch deep.

Here is where they went wrong. V is not you, he is a predetermined person like Geralt. Get rid of the character creator and put those options in the game world. Remove the idea that V is a representation of the player's wants and desires, because they aren't. Bullet spongy enemies with numbers that fly out of their bodies is old hat and not compelling, this is not a rpg, drop the pretense and make the game fun. Get rid of all the rpg style loot, make money the loot you find and make shops the place where the player buys guns clothes, healing items, etc. There can still be some in the world but it needs scaled way back, Right now, shops are borderline redundant.

The game needs a clear vision. Does it want to be a cinematic action game? Good, get the rpg nonsense out of it and focus on fun. Does it want to be an rpg? Then it needs overhaul all of it's immersive and story elements so I can actually, you know, role play the character how I want.

I could honestly go on. This game is so deeply flawed that's if you told me it was nothing more than a tech demo for nvidia, I would believe and let i be known. Yes I can run this game, with rtx on. Yes it's gorgeous. Yes the mainstory is fine, but everything outside of the mainstory is forgettable vapid waste of ssd space and the game would have been better as a linear adventure without any pretense of being a role playing game.

While this game has technical issues it is basically a great game with unbelievable world building, a fantastic story and so much love to detail. The bugs will be fixed. But even in it's current state it's one of the best games of the last ten years.

That is the difference to many titles from other developers. You can patch games like Anthem / Fallout 76 / Assassins Cry Whatever all you want, in the end they are missing a gameplay worth your time. And you can't fix that.
