Hi all. I bought the Cuphead DLC through the GOG website. When I opened GOG Galaxy, a download of around 1.5GBs started automatically, so I assumed that was the DLC. When I opened the game, it looked the same as always and the NPC you're supposed to talk to to access the new content isn't there (and yes I have beaten the game and the mausoleums etc.) I even uninstalled and re-installed the game (again, all through Galaxy). I opened my 100% completed save file and everything's still the same, no NPC near the mausoleum.

Does anyone have an answer to this? I appreciate it!

EDIT: I went to the "Extras" tab on the game's page in Galaxy, and downloaded the DLC from there. I opened the installer and supposedly installed the DLC following the steps (I hadn't done this before). A message came up that it had been successfully installed, I launched the game and... still nothing. Not even on a new save file beating the mausoleum again.

I have the exact same problem and I seem no to be alone. Would be cool if GOG inform us on a possible future fix or not, to know right now if it's better to ask for a refund on the DLC.
Ok, I got it this way:

I redownloaded the game AGAIN, but this time, it was loagically after having bought the DLC (I already had the game installed when I bought the DLC and it downloaded it up thereafter). Be sure no error occurs when installing the game, contrary to what it did to me on my first re-installation. It should download roughly 5 GO instead of the 3 normal one, because it's downloading the whole game + the DLC in one go.

When I launched after that second re-installation, it was good, Ms Chalice was in the middle on the start menu screen, new main menu music, and right when you start your save, a message calls you about the new character waiting for you to take the boat to the fourth island!

Hope it will help some.

I tried to reinstall it 5 times and nothing helped... I'm desperate
Did you try the offline installer? Maybe that will work?

I too have the same problem.
The DLC is installed but the NPC that is supposed to take me to the new island is nowhere to be found.
I've already done the same things as the person who created this post. Nothing works.

After installing the DLC, whether through Galaxy or the offline installer, does the title page (the screen that says, "Press Any Button") have Ms. Chalice posing between Cuphead & Mugman? If not the DLC did not install correctly. If so the clock-faced boatman should inform you that Ms. Chalice is waiting for you at Inkwell Isle IV as soon as you launch a saved game where you have already completed at least 1 of the 3 mausoleums. Assuming the top of the screen is north, the clock-faced boatman is located just south of the mausoleum on Inkwell Isle I, just southeast of the rollercoaster & south of the megalith scrying pool on Isle II, and at the middle landing dock of the piers east of the mausoleum & directly south of the turtle sitting on the northern landing dock on Isle III.
Below is the solution that was given to me by GOG support. A bit long and not easy to set up but it worked perfectly for me

Hello again,

It looks like I only got 26% complete (a very hard platformer!) and the DLC is already available so you should definitely have access.

I am suspecting that this might be an issue with your antivirus software causing some files to be damaged.

Please could you create a backup copy of your saved games (just to be on the safe side). These can by found by using the combination of WIN key+R and typing:
%APPDATA%\Cuphead

Next, please use the combination of keys WIN+R and type:
appwiz.cpl

Once here, please find the game on your list and double click it to remove it.

This, even should an error pop up, should remove any registry entries etc. for the game

Next please try removing any residual files:

Please go to (use the combination of the WIN + R keys and type):
%APPDATA%

And delete the entire Cuphead folder.

2) Please create a backup of you Windows regiestry (just to be on the safe side):

Now please go to the registry entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Studio MDHR

Please delete the entire Cuphead entry and all of the corresponding keys.

3) Lastly please make sure that the game folder is no longer present on your PC and if necessary, manually remove it.

Now restart GOG GALAXY and check whether you are able to reinstall the game.

Please reinstall the game AND add it to your anti-virus/firewall software's exception/trusted list.
Please make sure that you install the game to a short path, for example:
C:\GOG or C:\Games

The DLC should be now automatically added with the GOG GALAXY installation. I have went ahead and refreshed your purchase once again just in case.
