Hi all

Anybody else run into this?

Game launches fine, but when I start any map I do not get past the "loading" screen (image with the characters on the boat).

I can hear game sounds (mouse clicks, bird song, story voice over) in the background, but the game does not switch to in-game.

(As an experiment, I tried Cultures 2 and that worked fine.)

You probably don't have it installed in program files do you?
Meaning you should not install it in program files and try somewhere else.
Also what is your os and did you try running as admin.

Yeah, sorry, I should have added more info, that was my mistake. (Was just a bit fed up at that point =] )

I have tried installing via both Heroic and Lutris, tried various versions of Wine, tried installing d3d, fiddled with just about every switch I could think of, but still nothing. Neither install is in Program Files.

I've checked every log I could find, and watched the terminal for any output, but nothing. No error message popups, no error logs.

Everything indication is that the game is running fine, aside from the screen not flipping to gameplay.

Hah! Got it working.

For me it was using Winetricks to install the cnc_ddraw component.

Let's hope Google indexes this post thread xD
