If you have an AMD gfx card from ,I believe, 2010 or later turn on "Morphological Filtering" in Radeon Settings/ AMD CCC. I believe Morphological Filtering is just a shader-based filter similar to Nvidia's implementation of FXAA so I believe you probably should be able to use Nvidia's FXAA for the same results. It will create a blur-effect on everything on screen including menus and text. On the upside, playing at 1080p makes the sprite rendered objects look "pixelly" but MLAA/Morphological Filtering makes that look a lot better and it stops the horrendous jittery animations..
