I have just aquired the cutures bundle, never having played either game before I thought I would start at the begining, so I booted up cultures and as I always do went straight to video and sound settings. Video settings are fine but for some reason the sound setting do not respond.

Even though music is nice I prefer to hear the background sounds so not being able to turn music down to a reasonable level and having it booming out on full volume is most annoying. I have not started a single player game proper yet as this has happened to me while playing the tutorial missions, I mention this as it may only effect the tutorials, stranger things have happened.

I have looked for a config file but cannot find one in the game folder or in documents so I am not sure where to find it if there is one at all, before anyone asks I did check after saving the game as I know this often creates a config file.

Figured a work around for this, if you select CD music and then tell it to stop playing the CD music the music is then turned off. Not ideal for just turning the music down but at least its not blasting out at full volume.

My solution is to move the tracks out of the MUSIC folder into another, e.g. OldMusic., shuts off the music for ever!
