So I wanted to show the game to a friend over screen sharing but as it turns out unless I put the mic right in front of my face they won't hear a thing.
I also tried to record the gameplay but it yielded the same results.
The problem is with the game because the problem appears AFTER the game has launched and stops when I exit the game

Any idea how to fix this slight problem?

If you still need help with this issue, strangely the music volume settings effect the microphone gain. Since this setting dosn't work anyway you can put it on max.
Testet this with TeamSpeak so it could help with your issue aswell.
