'But Can It Run Crysis? 10 Years Later', a test of the top graphics cards of the last decade in an otherwise modern pc running Windows 10. Tom's Hardware made a test.
Let me add that many back then some players could not understand why people had problems running it; turned out they were playing on beefy computers but running Windows XP = no DX10, meaning the game ran in DX9. Sure one can tweak the game to get some of the higher settings reserved for the DX10 version to run in DX9 but naturally not all and it was hidden, so the load was much lower in DX9.
