So I know about this stupid Nvidia 24hz bug and I was able to work around it using a custom resolution of 1912x1080 on my old Full HD TV. However I can't get Crysis to work with this same method for resolutions higher than Full HD. Custom resolutions I create, for example (3832x2140) are simply not shown in resolution selection list in Crysis. When trying to start the game with this custom resolution it reverts to 24 hz (It starts with 60hz in 1912x1080). So it seems to me that this method of creating a custom resolution slightly under your native one to get Crysis to work was very specific and only for Full HD.

Does anyone know how to use this mehtod for higher resolutions than Full HD? Or how use higher resolutions in this game without having to play windowed? Appreciate your input.

Are you using a 4k monitor/tv? Afaik the game lists only the resolutions supported by your device. So it may not work with a HD device that doesn't support 4k natively.
Other than that, have you tried writing the resolution into the config files (don't know the name/paths now)?

I do have a 4k TV set and I can create custom resolutions using nvidia driver, however the game doesn't seem to support them, at least they are not appearing in the selection list. Also I set the resolution using the width and height parameters with a shortcut to crysis.exe in bin64 folder. I can set 1912x1080 and the game starts with 60hz, this resolution is shown in the game's resolutions scren.

However it doesn't work for resolutions higher than that, I can't find them ingame and 1440p and 4k reverts to 24 hz. In other guides I've seen people using the same method as with 1912x1080, only with 3832 to 2160. I can't find a reason why it shouldn't work for me but it does, 24 hz is just unplayable.
Seems to be unsolvable then. Crytek really messed up with this stupid hdmi bug, they promised to fix it in 2010 and nothing happened since then. Will have to live with 1080p then.
There are two ways to fix this I have found.

One: Use DX9 mode instead of 10 will default to 60hz. You will have to edit the cvargroups folder to enable Very High Detail in DX9.
This can be found here tweakguides.com/Crysis_13.html

Two: If you want to continue at DX10 then simply ALT-Tab out of the game and back in at the main menu.
This is how I've always done things as 10 is faster for myself.
I found out that 1440p resolution is fully playable when motion blur is completely off. Every other eye candy can be used with Very High setting, except Motion Blur.
If i remember correctly, originally game has same problem. Motion blur never run properly. At least In my case Crysis is very stable without it.
