I got this game to work on Arch Linux.
Especially the custom music required that I install a lot of libraries. Here is my list:

lib32-libogg lib32-libvorbis lib32-libvpx1.3 lib32-libtheora lib32-openal lib32-speex lib32-libva-intel-driver lib32-orc

Yep, this game is 32 bit only and if you have a 64 bit system you need to enable multilib and install the above packages.

After installing your suggestions, I also had to install the following two libraries to get it to work:

lib32-libxrandr
lib32-libpulse
