I'm stuck in the Thermatron Mission. I'm trying to reach the red keycard that is on the workbench in the same area as the floating platform and the blue/red lights that must be shot to change color. I can get on the platform, but everytime it moves I slide to the edge and either fall off or float in mid-air until I move and then fall down. Not sure as to the cause. Any ideas how to resolve the problem?

Is there a fan in the area blowing you off the platform? You can shoot those out of commission if that's the problem.
