I thought I was going to have a blast. Because the games, while outdated a bit, looks really fun.
But the controls destroyed everything, as soon as I began playing.

And since Gog sure as hell won't accept a refund because I hate the controls, I'm stuck with two games I probably won't ever touch again. Not to mention the loss of money.
Take an hour to get accustomed to the controls. They're not hard.
They´re worth playing. The first time I tried them, I aborted because of the weird controls. But at the moment I´m having great fun and after a short time you´ll get used to the controls.
The controls ain't the greatest ut you'll get used to to them. I've heard of people finding it easier to control the PC with the number pad but I haven't tried it myself.
I haven't played them on PC yet, but I did play Crusader: No Remorse back on the Sega Saturn. It was really fun.
So as the others stated. Try to overcome that hurdle. I tried Googling, unfortunately, I was unable to find anything pertaining to controller support, as of yet. Maybe someone knows of a way to use a controller or a way to reconfig.
Which controls? You guys forget to mention if you use the arrowkeys or the numberpad. Using the latter is almost impossible even when using them with a mouse.
As others state, you'll get used to them.

One thing that helps me a lot is frequent use of the left and right roll commands.

Oh - hey, Vagabond! Haven't seen you around in a long time, though maybe I haven't been looking in the right places. Glad to see you're still bumping around this place. I hope everything is well with you.

I hardly even lurk anymore. Never really liked the way this community turned out. I'm still regularly in the GOG IRC channel though!

Funny thing is that those are reversed to each other depending if you have your silencer looking at either the left or right axis. I always mess these up and i never can get fully used to it.

Well it feels late to reply but if you want to give a second shot and if you have a 360 or a PS3 controller you could try to use applications like JoyToKey and come up with a more simplified control scheme, that's what I did and it helped quite a bit, I posted one of the control settings I came up with here...

Nah.. use the num-pad and pgup/dwn, home/end, etc.
