Yes, that's as designed :) If you want to level up you can play the Survival or Blitz modes :)

Yes, it's quite fun and your character moves a LOT faster in it than in quest mode :D

I discovered one can enable the level ups in Quest mode!

Start a quest, press esc, type "grim" (no quotes), a menu appears, in the menu you can enable level ups in quest mode.

I personally think it makes the game even better!

And here I thought cheat codes had gone the way of the dodo. Good to hear the venerable cheat code isn't completely consigned to the history bin.

You should see what happens when you type "gembine" in the credits section :D
