What's up with that mission? I got to drive with some mad conspiracy theorist/scientist outside the city, then he get succumbed by something and I lost contact with him.
Tried to search for him but nothing.
Tried to ZAP! him before it start sucking him in but it's instant mission fail.

I don't believe that quest is complete able. Even with the best upgrades available, you can never keep up with him. No matter how far you drive out, there is nothing but wasteland.

If there is a way to succeed, I would love to know too.

Well, I manged to finish the game and turns out - there is few more jobs like that.
Like they give you 30.000 credits to take down all police cars but it was scam (yep, I tried, what a waste of time).
Or final, third planet where most side jobs are scams.
Or fishing job from weird guy that left asylum (got info from my supervisor Cyberdog).

But I wonder if there's something outside of these cities.
There's a lot of space, I've afk-flied fore more than 1M units away from the nearest target, no invisible walls or something like this.
There have to be easter eggs or something like that out there...

That mission sucks. I was just on it and got nothing out of it too. Just had to abort it.

Kill all cops for 30K? You just die.

On the second map, there is a mission to "liquidate" something for somebody. Can't do it, you fly there and the game tells you to wait. When you do, it just gives you a mission fail and tells you someone else did it.

The whale hunting mission is also bogus, he flies around and nothing happens. The fishing one is legit though, but not the whale hunting.

There is also a mission on the last map that you have to check out some crashed satellites. You are a hired cab, you are not asked to do anything else. Yet, just because the guy can't find what HE wants, you fail the mission, when you did your job as asked. Fly around, he was the one actually doing the mission not you, your mission was to fly and you do...it's a con.
