Just downloaded Exodus a few days ago and I couldn't get DS to even launch. After much frustration I got it to launch. I downloaded C12DS to get rid of the login screen. Now it's giving me 2 odd errors.

They both give me 3 options about what to do: continue, quit(which exits DS),and brutal abort. Any idea what this is and what to do?

Prior to installing C1toDS, did you install the Creatures Remastered Patch? Without it, third-party additions (like C1toDS) are not installed properly. These errors look like the game is expecting to find files associated with C1toDS in certain areas, and isn't finding them. Have you checked the listed folders to see if those files are there? I know the GOG.com installation ends up splitting files between My Documents and the C: drive if you choose the standard installation, which could be part of the problem.

You might need to reinstall C1toDS after downloading the Remastered Patch. Let me know if that works! If not, you might also want to check out Creatures Caves, which is a very active hub for Creatures players. The forum there is amazing, and you'll likely get answers much quicker than posting here! Best of luck!
Thanks for the info! I will try that later and let you know if it works.
Got the patch and redownloaded C12DS but still got that devil spawn login screen! C12DS does have a offline thing right?
Drat! I hate when errors won't go away. C1toDS does offer an offline patch, but you can also get the standalone download here. It's further down the page, titled DS Offline Option.

I know that if you installed anything prior to having the Remastered Patch, it can cause some issues. Mentioning an entire uninstall and reinstall is the last thing I want to mention, but if C1toDS still won't work, it might be worth a try. Wish this was a quick and easy fix!
Hate to overload with questions but I've quite a few! Out of frustration I installed C12DS on C3 but I can't find the metaroom. I've found 2 or 3 new options on the egg layer though. They appeared to be mixes of the C1 breeds from their titles but when I hatched one of them(I'm pretty sure it was called C1 Ron Pixie) it was a gray Ettin! I was playing C1 around the time this happened just in case that's important. Also, do Ron Norns look like foxes?
You'll need to create a new world to use C1toDS! It's one of the options when you cycle through the button in the middle (i.e. Shee Starship Docked with Capillata). I'm almost positive that you need to use Docking Station to get to it. I'm so used to playing with C3/DS or DS worlds, though, so I could be wrong! But I do know that you definitely need to create a new world to play with C1toDS.

Do you know which download you have? You might want to check out the beta patch linked on the Creatures Wiki. I know it fixes a bunch of issues. In terms of the breeds, did you check the download file to ensure that you were installing them? This is another problem that sometimes occurs with the way the GOG.com version is installed, where some files are installed under Program Files and others are placed in My Documents.

I can't remember how the C1toDS egg agents work, but normally if the body data files and sprite files aren't included with the download, hatching the first egg of that species will install everything. This explains why you'll sometimes notice a hiccup or slowdown for a few seconds when you hatch an egg of a new breed: In the background, all of the files are being installed to the proper directories.

Lastly, Ron Norns do look like foxes!
